Request Memory Timestamp

I agree with “Get More People” but another interpretation of “multiple sources increases the chances of anchoring” could mean more varied memories of the same event, not necessarily the number of people remembering that event. For example, if 100 people all submit the same data(memory) for the same timestamp it shows a lot of people remember a very specific thing. On the other hand if 100 people submit a different memory(data) for the same timestamp it gives a broader more detailed picture of that day. Again I still agree more people is good, just a thought.

Good point.

I like that your Operator ID’s been getting more verbose every time we see it :face_with_tongue:

I was thinking along sort of similar lines, though I think my conclusion is maybe a little different than yours (meaning both are worth trying I’d say) - I think submitting the same date is fine, but it’s ideal to have each individual specify their actual specific memories for that date. More general, factual submissions (“X event started on this day”) from more people might help a little, but probably not as much as individualized memories imo.

(EDIT: Or maybe we’re both saying the same thing actually? Anyway, we’re in some degree of agreement lol)

I also really think the memories should be specific to Waking Titan. We’re early on so I could be wrong, but having no memory bloc for No Man’s Sky launch seems like this is really WT-specific. Or maybe the bigger stuff is just coming later, that could also make sense.

Klaxk submitted a request for TIMESTAMP 1500595200, maybe “correcting” the data from the July 21, 2017 memory bloc.

Operator: Klaxk/Galactic_Hub_Project

Initial Memory Value: WAKE - Console Commands for Waking Titan Appeared: HELP, LIST, LS, SHIP, STATUS, PORTAL, START, SEED, WHOIS, HELLO, WAKE, CLEAR, RESET, RESTART, EXIT

(LINK)

Memory_Bloc_Edition: Unauthorized

Warning: Memory_Bloc_Addition only.

This made me think that we need to add timestamps for FUTURE events, as if we were adding memories in a similar way as the memory_bloc instances the Architect adds to the site.

We have a pattern of posting times from socials and the site, don’t we?

100% agree.

I’ve been under the impression we all needed to submit the exact same memory(data) to increase chances of anchoring, your post made me think that’s not the case, variation is ok so long as they all relate to that timestamp.

It’s all unknown so I think having different approaches is probably a strength, but my thought is that the ‘strongest’ format for Initial Memory Value would be [Brief description of event relating to Waking Titan] / [Detailed description of what you personally experienced during that event].

That’s how I did the 1500595200 WHOIS command (though it’s unclear if that even had any effect, but maybe it did, given Klaxk said he didn’t submit it and no one else seems to have reported doing so). I explained the specific event I was requesting, then I went into detail about how I personally related to that event.

I do think the mass-response of people just recalling the event in general may be helpful still, just not to the same degree as true memories. Or maybe INTEGRITY CHECK disregards people who do not truly appear to be ‘remembering’, but I doubt that, I don’t think they’d want to exclude people who didn’t participate in Waking Titan.

That’s one thing I’m loving about all this, the varied approaches. You have people submitting stuff as “simple” as 16, to personal memories of NMS and WT, and I’m over here sending straight up URLs to forum posts and yt vids lol.

Good evening, night crew! I have added some creation requests, @ThatBomberBoi i have already posted comments on the spreadsheet for your convenience. But I also wanted to share them here with y’all as well.

Timestamps used

1496456040 - June 3rd, 2017 02:14 UTC, this one was a stretch but i pulled the time straight from @kyle-culver’s video from Phase 1. It is the post time from one of the posts on the Unfiction forum that lead to the pastebin containing the waking titan email, kicking off S1.

1496448000 - June 3rd, 2017 00:00 (in case Emily isn’t splitting hairs with exact times)

1496361600 - June 2nd, 2017 00:00 - Date on the first uncovered memo from Dubois to Leighton. No exact time was provided on the memo.

MemVals

"Message ID: 6f71407e-7106-452d-8dd1-017f3eb00e1b " - When emailing a phone number to info@wakingtitan, this was part of the reply you would get back.

“This is Waking Titan. He Arose, and on the stars, lifted his curved lids, and kept them wide.” - creepy ass phone call you would get. ID’ing the poem excerpt gave us the Passcode for WT. com “Hyperion”

“=O3QcsBFH6zY” - footnoted YT link to Kavinsky’s First Blood (BANGER) found on the 6/2/17 memo.

“ANSWER=ORION” - after solving the encryption from the 6/2/17 memo, ORION was our answer to unlock the first glyph in WT.

klax seems to be a new user starting edits as soon as may 17 arrived. Did I miss someone talking about this?

@7101334 mentioned klax was a galactic hub member as far as I can remember and were going to get in touch with them or have them post here. Cant recall exactly, i tjink the conversation took place in the thread dedicated to this line of investigation

Edit:

Discussed here

Moved you over. Carry on

Klax or klaxk, the architects memory is weak, he may have misspelled it. Klaxk doesn’t remember anything about it but Klax is a new user with 166 edits. Just thought it might be worth looking into his edits

Oh it’s Klaxk? Sorry I thought we were both just making typos :see_no_evil_monkey:

Klax may be the same person/user as Klaxk and just goes by slightly different names depending on site they’re using? I’m sure 710 can maybe lend some insight into this for us.

Comparing the changes with their initial revision to latest revision just shows they are updating the entry for how it currently stands. It seems the Deep Mineral Extraction HQ had a change of location, perhaps the original owner is MIA from the game and Klax has taken over responsibilities for this build/HQ for Galactic Hub.

While we’re waiting for updates, anyone else find it weird that memory_bloc_restoration is still at 0/365 even though we’re visibly adding blocs to the main page now? Wonder what the difference is between adding memories and restoring them…

So far, I think we’ve been stabilising memories, not restoring them. Presumably restoration cannot take place if memories are unstable, but restoration is a separate process.

sent a few more requests, mostly using timestamps other operators have used with different memory values backing up theirs. Already added them to the googlesheet but here they are:

I agree with what @DevilinPixy said. If you want to remember something, you want all the details you can get.

I think about waking up from a deep sleep. It sometimes takes a bit to collect your thoughts, especially if you have been dreaming.

Once enough details begin to register, then you begin to process it all and things fall into place and your memory returns.

Are there any memories tied to Phase 2 we havent requested yet? I skimmed the spreadsheet last night and it looked like @YourBasicMaths submitted quite a bit related to 7/21/2017.
