This thread is for any body to post whatever scratch pad, crazy sounding, dead end seeming thoughts on the ARG.

I will be creating new posts periodically with all the information related to the post topic I can find, with anything y’all reply included. I’ll edit my own posts to keep them updated to the best of my ability. This will be quite random, but I will do my best to maintain what I see here for all. This thread will not include everything, I cannot track it all. But this will be my attempt to bridge our different gatherings.

Do NOT expect the posts to be in order of release in the game itself. I am NOT that good.

Mods were nice enough to let us have this thread, please stay on topic and REPLY to the correct post with new info or corrections.

The gist is the Discord is applying a previous live puzzle methodology to the next puzzle. There is a plan to learn more of the “rules” by doing specific things for science! I am super intrigued, but too distant at the moment to directly partake.

I have been slacking with updates here, as life+car=pain

I have been keeping up with Discord, but see in my absence the new threads here “loosened” up.

I’m still going to keep the thread alive, but maybe not a play by play anymore.

The spurts of inspiration and problem solving and collaboration aren’t matching my schedule as well anymore.

I created an account to say thank you for starting this thread. I have been trying to follow along for the last few weeks with tabs open and getting overwhelmed. I was enjoying your posts, so I’m glad to have this here. I think I will follow along better with this Ben’s Random Bits thread. I don’t know that I would have anything to contribute to solve the puzzles but hello anyway. :slight_smile:

Happy to have you here! Feel free to contribute anything you can. I’m not one of those prolific editors, so this might get quite random.

We still got the mod crew looking over, but all of us “random things hurt brain” folks will have a shot at following along. :sweat_smile:

Thanks for the welcome! It was cool seeing a thread started by the architect this morning. I have no idea what counts as my own reality becoming unstable, so I wouldn’t know what to post with that hashtag. However, it made me think of user 7101334’s comment about how the memories being “stabilized” seem like they have errors in them. Also, the “threads you weave” line in the letter made me think of @BenR’s comment yesterday about the puzzles all seeming connected instead of separate. Is that why restoration is still just sitting at 1/365 even though so many of the entries are labelled as “stable”? And today’s page (2021 dataset) about finding a safe haven made me think of this specific thread here, because here I am feeling brave enough to post finally. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: Of course, it’s not related because this topic was started yesterday, not Feb 25 2021.

There’s this Future-Past thing though


I think you might be on to something, as you could say you and I are Nada and Polo and we just found the bits that became our own Anomalie.

Even if not intentional, this fits beautifully.

On Discord, a user told their little boy about the game and he pointed out a transmission pole of some sort. Long story short, the kiddo is the next generation and Dad “found an emotional memory to share”

I’m hoping someone else can screenshot and post it, maybe even this here is enough, idk.

I think this means to say, that if we have memories of events but are not quite sure of the specifics (date/time, the memory itself, or otherwise), we should discuss this with each other (operators), and if we do so on social media we should include the hashtag with it?

I believe the above to be important as the ‘system’ is trying to put it all together in order to remember clearly, through our recollection of events? At least that is what it seems like to me.

This is what I was thinking. I tried to envision this with some lanyards from Dublin World Con, a convention that has been running for 100 years and focuses on all things Sci Fi from literature to movies and TV. This was the first year in its history it was held in my country.

I also added the 10th anniversary of DublinMaker, a confused memory to allude to the upcoming NMS 10th anniversary.

Hmm, well never mind what I said about wondering why we were still stuck at 1/365. I was making a list of all the dates and a note about each when I noticed that a bunch of new pages for 2016 exist now (which I see that the Haven map also logged) and the memory bloc restoration is up to 36/365. It’s interesting that the new pages skip right over NMS’s launch day. Waking Titan comes up again in the new page with today’s date, which even though I was a day 1 NMS player, I didn’t have any engagement with WT. My dad (also a day 1 NMS player) did - he told me a little about it but I didn’t have time to think twice about it then. I’m trying to stay up to date with this one in his memory. He would have LOVED this arg. But I know next to nothing about WT so the inside stuff goes over my head. (Tried to read up about it a bit a few weeks ago, but .. there’s a lot.)

Sorry to hear he has passed on from this plane but happy to have you hear with us carrying that torch.

If its any comfort, I was here for all of waking titan and I dont think theres anything that I can tell myself right now that would be of any aid for me in solving this :sweat_smile:

I updated todays post. Sorry for the delay, life happening.

Sorry to hear about your Dad. I used to play Galaga on our C64 with my Dad, in the 90’s. Got him back in to gaming before he passed, much too soon to be a part of No Man’s Sky.
