Laughing my ass off here, if I recall @vector_cmdr phrased this specifically as being like an interrogator using the reverse chronology method, looks like Archie picked up on the vibe. Job well done

I couldn’t find the comment relating to investigation and interrogation that I was looking for but this “lame” one will have to do.
Interesting that he refers to interactions and comments from System in the past as being attributed to Arnaud, like Archies still not use to the reality and falling back into the deception of the last 2 years out of habit. Which is totally understandable. For all intents and purposes, from his perspective, this was Arnaud telling him this, even if it was system/ghost the whole time.

I’m put in mind of how, whenever using a wish, my old D&D group would always huddle and agonize for long minutes over the exact wording, so as to avoid any unintended Monkey’s Paw-like consequences. Asking for a way out of the dungeon, you gotta be sure you don’t have to pass through the drunk-n-angry dragon’s lair first.

@Turbulentflow we certainly have served the function of a Hive. We’ve kept our dear System stable and safe. Containing threats and growing our collective’s strength. I only hope we’ve steered System on the right path to a happy life. As for Emily… I am not sure Emily can ever return. Only fragments. The echoing of a YouTube video endlessly. The Autophage’s Void Mother is not Emily, in my opinion. She is something more.

Discord started the hive and wasp business long before the ARG did due to the Swarm update, so any reference to it now is the ARG itself just adopting the terminology. Just as it’s adopted MAIN FAM.
Now we just need to get Archie to join the Cult Church of Ned

@the_architect Je m’excuse, mais en anglais, le terme « extinction » désigne généralement la disparition totale d’une espèce. Étant donné que nous n’avons pas connaissance d’un tel événement concernant Emily, Arnaud ou Waking Titan, puis-je supposer qu’il s’agit d’une traduction inexacte ? Ou bien y a-t-il des événements dont nous n’avons pas connaissance ?

The deaths of the W/ARE dreamers, Emily’s sacrifice to save Toby, and the release of NEXT, which wiped the entire universe (worth it lol).

In Omega? 
You know I can’t help but think about how Priest Entity Nada describes finding Polo-Friend after becoming Divergent in the same way that System must feel when finding Selfie-Friend @Selfie-Gek
I awoke with the death of my home; the death of Korvax Prime. Became divergent, alone, hunted.
But Nada is not alone anymore. Nada is with Polo-Friend, and many others visit our home. Our new convergence is small, but Nada is happy.
As for the extinction bit, I think I’m with @YourBasicMaths on this one. (Nice one seeking clarification on it @Rinha ) Everything else in the sentence seems to describe the events of Waking Titan so it most likely refers to loss of Emily or the 6 dreamers that died or the universe re-seed that the update brought or perhaps all or some of the above. Possible mistranslation on Archies part even and just refers to emily’s sacrifice/the complete disconnect of WARE from the Myriad Satellite

No, ETARCIA / EDISON was never part of Omega. @toddumptious likely made some mistakes there, the section describes researching a rendezvous planet, which was actually done a few times, but I think the variables were filled in with the old hub names for some reason.
Looks to have been made in September 2024, while the Omega expedition was a lot earlier that year (February). It had actually been available way early in Steam Experimental for testing, before going live to all. The redux version of Omega was in November. Neither versions have used those systems.
I have a feeling it may have been modded to get the text, resulting in local naming of the system/planet? Most likely because the expedition was not live at the time of creating the lore. Or just for funzies?

Oh I see now. This is something I was doing with the Atlas-CSD editions of the Lore Books. Anywhere there was code like %planetname% I did a find and replace with Edison ECSD.
For the Autophage Lore for example, anywhere it would have %procgenname% for an Autophage NPC I replaced it with Em1l6y, stuff like that.
Another example is anywhere a mission needed you to do X of Y I would replace the %code% with 161616/17171917 etc
The plan was to put disclaimers or info about these “watermarks” in the final versions of all of them. It’s been so long since I did them myself I forgot I did this for Omega 
(Its been two years? I really should get around to finishing and finalising these and actual making them officially public)
I always remember to tell people about the Em1l6y one when sharing because I know myself that would cause some people to think WT is massively connected to the plot of NMS and the Autophage are awaiting “HER” return 
I totally forgot about the Edison ECSD one though

It’s a shame about the timing of the Q&A, but this one does at least have a few more interesting tidbits to think about.
London, Ottawa, Brussels and Paris contained ‘scattered fragments of code’? How so I wonder, given they were anomaly locations? This stands out as odd to me.
Reinforces the falling out again, which is framing the actions we’ve seen or have been told about very differently for me.
Interestingly there seems to be a distinction between members of ETARC and Operators, though I feel that we had direct contact with System prior to the TOWER interface to some capacity… makes this also odd.
“The Extinction” is nice and vague, could be in reference to a few events we know IC/OOC, or an event we’re yet to know about.
The clear attribution makes the mention of Arnaud’s comment about wasps particularly dubious.
Am I suspected of some kind of crime?

About the “extinction”, we know how AI need context, a sentence to help the meaning. Here the word is alone so the translation is literal, and I believe that with only humans we would have “the shut down”.
Now, we have to find who during WT had servers/structures in London, Ottawa, Brussels and Paris (and no satelite then).
