I qualify for my pension for remembering YTMND so I expect a decent window-seat for my wheelchair.
And in France it is a well known fact all Englishmen look like this:
āThree Little Catsā is a rime song, sung by two children, often while playing a hand game.
Itās an anadiplosis (yes, new word for me too* ) figure of speech : specifically a dorica castra*. Each end of new word sounds like the beginning of next⦠But no logic other than that between words or group of words.
Itās possible to create a loop by returning to the original lyrics.
Much more comfortable behind the scenes indeed. So much so, he told us more about his work than himself. He is defined by his work. Heis the System, lol.
Yes, if Iām glad to see I was right when I said heās probably neural network architect, we donāt know much about himself.

Is there anything with this ARG that is only implicit? As in hinted at but not directly stated? ![]()

Their old friend Archie had missed āem,

The answers so far have felt a little unfulfilling, but I guess we werenāt really ever promised thorough, or even compliant ones
.
Would have been nice to learn a bit more about the person and a little less about the persons work, even speaking as a person who tends to feel defined by their own.
Iām interested in question 6, as the most open question. What tale is Archie trying to spin?
I was actually expecting that to be the case, but was applying the āhope for the best while preparing not to be disappointed by the realityā.
I am intrigued by the description of their work, which to me looks a lot like training LLMs to free-associate to sort of soft focus and spot pattern to solve problems - which is very human, and as we know very well can lead to lots of false connections, random rabbit holes and can cause us to miss a simple solution or even lead us into dubious conspiracy ideas.
I rather enjoy it, shows more character to him. His being defined by his work is the most intriguing part about himāwhile it would be neat to know what pub he frequents or his favorite college memory with our boy Arnaud, all things being equal he is in contact with us all for a purpose, not our friendship. I think it makes him more fascinating that heās so defined by his work.
A machine-mind for a tinkering toolkitter.
Since memories have opened up for submission again, we added one for the OMEGA update yesterday. Puzzling how it hasnāt anchored as anchoring appears to be on a faster track right now.
Have we got memories for every update now? ![]()
Yea @Rusty noted earlier than anchoring appears to be taking place sequentially, with entries sent in first also anchoring earlier. By that figure, the OMEGA memory should anchor soon!
Oh, thatās a great observation! I hadnāt even noticed the Atlas Rises memory anchored until now.
Still waking up.
Think Iāll go drink my Ghost and come back. ![]()
My father was a computer programmer, going back to the keypunch days. In the early-1980s, when I first started using the computers he brought/built at home, and would get frustrated at the interface or whatever, he would tell me, āDonāt try to out-think the program, that wonāt get you anywhere. Try to out-think the guy who wrote the program.ā
Anyway, Archieās answer of this morning reminded me of that (associative chains being what they are). ![]()

Learning that Archie is a French developer based in the UK has been an eye opener. Iāve been away helping my cousin with his boat, and convinced him to illegaly sail across the Irish Sea to conduct my investigations. After a full day of sleuthing I managed to track them down.
He was immediately identifiable by his Muffin Coffee and Baguette
I had to sail back home, but perhaps Inspector @Morse can keep tabs on our mark over the coming days to help uncover their true identity. I canāt help but think they look awfully familiar.
