Phase 3 live test

I beg to differ… if our predictor is Emily/loop16…she never fails apparently, so if we choose B the prize will be higher! (Basically our choice is always aligned with the prediction)

that is if you live in the matrix, do you?

To me it’s proven infallible enough. B it is… Supposing it’s counting my vote… Did it go straight to offering you the creation of a new poll after accepting?

yes it did

We all live in a simulation that loop16 can apparently read and predict…

Well it all depends on what being perfect means doesn’t it. If it predicts A+B because it KNOWS we’re going to go for B, we get nothing.

I’ll just quote what it reads on the reddit page:

Box B contains a hypothetical million dollars, if the simulation predicted that you will choose only Box B.

It does not say you need to vote B, it says B will contain 1M if the sim predicts you will vote B.
So even if you vote A+B, you get 1M as long as the sim predicted you would vote B. Since it has already made it’s prediction, it can’t change now anymore, so you can maximize your gain by voting A+B.

at top of live vote count…submitted 24 minutes ago by Loop16_TuringTest posted in /r/nomansskythegame

this is still a turing test

the instructions never said we could have the money or not, so the amount whether 0 or $1m doesn’t matter

it’s still comparing us to an AI. Are we to try to fool loop16 into thinking we are an AI?

But is loop16 trustworthy?

I voted B. Please send a check for a million dollars.

yes but our simulation will predict b only if we vote b because it has shown to predict the future pretty reliably…there is no way it will predict b if we vote a+b

Do I need a thousand dollars? - no, not really. Could I have fun with a million dollars? Yes, absolutely.

Would I be heartbroken if I got neither? No, not at all.

The stream says “Looking at Infinity. Processing 1170 files…” Does that refer to the calibration 3 pictures?

Smart, but assuming it doesn’t cheat, it can’t change the outcome of what it predicted. One may as well try to prove the prediction wrong.

Then again, if we consider this a Turing test, it would say we are a computer if we vote A+B (the logical choice), but say we’re a human if we go for B (Greed + illogical).

status update on waking titan

Presumably. Can’t think of what else it could be. The calibration process (as far as I remember) was supposed to last six hours.

like, would I trust loop16 with my children…no, but if she says that lottery numbers are 1 2 3 4 5 6, I would be ready to bet…
