Patient Intervention Thread - Alexander

Nicely done!
Wonderful expressive piece of music.
Was not able to listen to it on youtube as there seems some restriction to this video in Europe…

Well done. Sounds like a genuine radio show?

Well, if you phone to a radio in France there are many chances that nobody will answer, or they don’t care about your ask and at the end, they don’t have Sarah Vaughan’s record to play it :joy:
But a bit more than 25 years ago I was a real DJ so I’m able to make something which walk like a duck, sounds like a duck :innocent: (but i had to verify that the name of the radio I used doesn’t exist  )

Am reading and listening to the music from top to bottom lol
Greatly done again and listening to this music brought back some nice memories too, as did some of the other ones.
It is a blast for me to listen to all of them :grinning:

Hey now, easy on the germanic languages!! :joy:

Oddly enough, despite being a germanic language, I think the dialect and pronunciation sounds more like people speaking As Gaeilge in Ireland, first time in that neck of the woods I kept hearing little inflections that reminded me of Irish speakers.

Must be our common viking heritage

Also there’s a big Irish trad and folk scene in the Netherlands I became aware of through musicians from there I met online in my teens. But I’ve learned since, Bretton music, the family it’s a part of, was spread along the western coastal regions of Europe and so we all share a musical heritage there too

One of the first books I read as a child in Dutch language was “Daar komen de Vikingen”.

It scared the hell out of me though cause they used to hang a dead body in top of the mast of their ships to warn everybody that they were coming and had no mercy lol

For such a terrifying force of invaders, they have such beautiful folklore and myths.

That reminds me, I was in a taxi once, the driver was from Iceland. I commented on how beautiful Icelandic people are, wondering if its the air and the diet with a smidgen of genetics.

He laughed and said “actually, we have a joke in Iceland. The reason our people are so beautiful is because the vikings came to Ireland and kidnapped all of your beautiful women”.

I dunno how true that is but I took it as a compliment  vikings had good taste, clearly :joy:

Guess you can say that a great part of Europe now has descended from the Vikings.

I love the “Kay-triple Zee Tee Radio”. :grinning:

Wish I had thought of that. :grinning: I went with the bottom of the AM frequencies because almost no one uses the medium waves anymore. At least, not here. They just don’t reach very far and usually have a lot of interference. Oh, and @kerdorin, I have an Uncle that was a DJ for years, does that count?

That’s a luck we can hear somethnig clear with such a name :stuck_out_tongue:

Of course, we need a DJ voice announcing the song. Being DJ is like riding bicycle, if you were able a day, you still are , so he IS a DJ
