No Man's Sky Update "NEXT"! Coming Summer 2018!

Personally I don’t think that would happen. If they released the update & it ended up not being very good it would scupper sales of the Xbox version later down the line.

I’m sure it’s going to be really good though

To get a spoiler tag or a dropdown list, you can click the gear icon when editing a post and select what you wish to use, which in your case would be selecting ‘Hide Details’. It will then put the formatting for a dropdown list in the post for you. You can also pre-select part of a post to then select this option and have the formatting put correctly around the selected part.

The formatting will look like this:

Change the ‘Summary’ within quotation marks to your liking to describe the dropdown details. The ‘This text will be hidden’, is the content within the dropdown list.

I have edited it for you this time, feel free to make changes and give it a try next time

Thank you. I’ve already tried the spoiler tag, but the images there wouldn’t show up as such, but as mere hyperlink.

So, I’ve got to use HTML tags? Good to know, thanks.

A ‘safe’ subset of HTML is usually no issue, BBCode is also partly used and mostly Mardown, which can all be mixed and merged to some extend. I did notice the <img> tags, although not required, as you can just drag an image in, or use the upload.

Oh well, as I use to say:

“Why make things simple if you can make them complicated?”

Reading the notes is always slightly entertaining, because I never know what the visor is going to give me. I hope that something like that actually happens; it would make all of the planet flora and fauna a bit more interesting to observe.

How much carbon did that one give?

About 0.000001 pieces more than Euler’s number… disappointing amount.

Looks like everyone is jumping on the Next bandwagon. This video promo of a new electrical smart meter from a company I used to work for here in South Africa.
NOTE: This is a legitimate business promo advert and has nothing to do with NMS or ARG.

Does anyone know if NEXT versions of NMS for PS4 will be available?

I don’t understand what you mean by NEXT “versions” of NMS…if you mean if NEXT will be released on PS4, then yes, it was announced on Twitter by Sean a long time ago: https://twitter.com/NoMansSky/status/997401325573984256

If you mean physical releases with NEXT on disc for PS4 then nothing has been announced so most likely not.

You’re right. I should have phrased that better than I did. I was referring to a physical disc release in my question.

Thanks for the response.

“Alex? ‘Alex’…? Who the GEK is Alex?!?”

(Yeah, I’m probably missing something I ought to know, but … this is my excuse to post in this Thread / Topic, and – effectively, cheekily, cheaply – bump it topside, to ensure ALL are appropriately waiting with bated (baited?!) breath for later THIS month (July 2018) for the THUNDEROUS LANDING of No Man’s Sky NEXT (NMS Update 1.4). ) :+1:

Plus - since I love the durn track so durn much, here’s @65DaysOfStatic’s track (from their album “We Were Exploding Anyway”) which accompanied our first views of NMS (at E3),
Debutante… on the OFFICIAL 65DaysOfStatic YouTube channel, from which it sounds MAAAAARVELLOUS (esp in Headphones - get yours on your ears for this!)

Please click through, and LIKE the track after the jump!

In all fairness, I’d watched @LPlaysGaming’s YT vid before I finished joining ETARC here, and in reading his post (this one to which I’m replying), I am reminded that I heard those very things said by him, warning against over-expectation re multiplayer…

There’s every possibility that the Marketing folks at either of the console-makers’ make some “accidental” koff-bollox!-koff statement about “MMO” or “multiplayer”, in order to attempt swelling sales, esp launching on XBox as they are…

Surely, though, they’d realise they’d be UNWISE to do so, as “once bitten, twice shy”, but Hope Springs Eternal, and trigger happy kiddies LOVE their PvP (and opportunities to gank anyone, because they hate their own lives and would rather make others miserable than admit their own pain), so pocket monies will be spent nonetheless…

I, for one, only guesstimate that – since Instancing issues tends to be a major plague for many games anyway – 16 might make sense for an Instance max – at least for “early stage” / first significant multiplayer implementation, and 4 might make sense for grouped / teamed play, in line with L’s thoughts. (Forgive me: compare Elite’s 4-man “wings”, here, perhaps…)

Further, I’d agree that PvP ought NOT to be expected, though I’d fairly expect grouped PvE.
But how? “Impossibility” of Friendly Fire – call it “smart weapons systems”, easy.

I “don’t need” MP, but I’d love to see it added, working, and sufficiently so, as a “first step” to greater MP, to silence the haters, and especially if that’s what SM – I can’t believe I saw someone nickname him “Prawn Curry”! – and Hello Games WANT for NMS, going forward.
