Uh-oh… Let’s just hope them journalists didn’t get too overexcited from a 15 minutes demo.

I wish thundershirts worked on cats…I have one cat that could really use some calm.

There is speculation that this might be a sun

Hmph. Not impossible, but hard to tell with that quality. Wouldn’t be surprised though, seeing that we all basically clamored for a space update for 6 months now.
Guess we’ll just have to wait for Sean to reveal the third chunk of the update…

A good cup of coffee always works in those situations.
Or a big red button on the dashboard perhaps

Was there a mention which VR system NMS is supporting on SteamVR? Oculus? Vive? Windows Mixed Reality? Just wanted to start saving my pennies.

It seems the guys who were allowed to try it at GDC used the Vive Pro. (They were not given any PC specs either. No framerate, etc…) I have not heard any mention of specifics. The new Valve Index is being announced in May. I want to use the Knuckles…We need more info. Hopefully we will know before BEYOND releases.

Maybe this might work. I’m going to try it:

Has anyone tried NMS with a HOTAS? Does the PS4 controller still work side by side with it? For example, can I fly with the stick and throttle and then pick up the controller when on foot? I got my PSVR two weeks ago in anticipation for BEYOND but I’ll gladly blow some more cash on a HOTAS if it works.

Looking very realistic

I read complaints on Steam that HOTAS does not work currently. I’m not saying it ever will.

NMS has no stick support whatsoever. You might be able to hack something up disguising it as a PS4 controller, but in my experience these approaches have too much trouble to be worth it.

I play on PC, and there is no support for HOTAS flight sticks. I was able to get it working with a program that takes joystick inputs and maps them to keyboard or mouse movements, but it didn’t feel very good and it wasn’t fun.

Really do hope that HG implements support for it, though! With VR coming and being able to see ship controls that look just like a HOTAS, I’m hopeful they’ll add it…

A few details on the PS5 have been announced by Sony. Check your favorite gaming website for all the details, but one thing caught my attention right away, a couple notes on VR from a Kotaku article:

Cerny didn’t give more details about PlayStation 5’s VR capabilities, but did note that ā€œVR is very important to us,ā€ adding that the current PSVR headset will work with the upcoming console.

I’d say Steam VR is a safe bet.

I have been waiting for this but, oh…the price!

I was just reading about this. £919.00 Wow.

The controllers I think are well designed for the current tech. They seem a no brainer compared to the other controllers from the Valve demonstration youtube video I have seen.

Almost 1,000,000 owners maybe more, times £1000.00 equals £££ONE BILLION POUNDS!!! O.O
Then you realise you have to buy a new computer as well.

Sadly decides no for now then shuffles off to make a multi-tool out of a cardboard box and puts on a snorkle…
