How about if I build a base, then teleport in and out of the system a few times? That should reset the instance every time I do it?

I tried to join your game. I forget how that works. I think you have to allow me in. Not sure. But if I am out of sync, the game will not let me in
Well someone had me join his group and he left the system but it dropped me from the group… 
I am on the space station begging like a bum with a sign in the parking lot
At this point, the only other thing I can think to do, is get rich quick and buy a freighter

I have built a base - should be near to yours - called “Recue Attempt” - it has a working teleporter.
We need to be in the saame instance - then one of us can send the other a friend request. Should have done it years ago, but there was never any need.
I’ll try jumping in and out of system, and see if you appear in my list.

Well, it works - insofar as every time I jump back, I get a different group of players in my list. Trouble is, I suppose there’s hundreds of them here. Just have tto keep on trying until you pop up.

I did uncover a bug while working on hitchhiking a way out of here.
I placed 2 different fossil skulls on my base and when I picked them up to move them, they both changed into this
I also lost the 2 skulls. They are gone.

Why can’t you join each other’s session? I recall polyphemus say he switched that off because other players were annoying. (In a context a long time ago, where, on the same day, I had seen his name and clicked to join polyphemus’ session… I scared him away 
. )

It could be I am out of sync. Experimental… 
And it seems my bad luck is on a streak. I bought 12 ruins charts on the space station but only got 4…and the only freighter in sight is an A class. 15k units. I am half way there. The freighter has a hyperdrive
