NMS Base Building Plugin (Blender)

  • Improvements and optimizations to the mirror, mirror across X, and flip functions (Thanks to Kuma the Wizard).
  • Model fixes to B_DECO_Q_1,B_STR_AA_N,B_STR_AA_S, S_SAIL, TOYCORE, PANEL_GLASS, S_ROOF objects and added settlement class objects (Thanks to Kuma the Wizard).
  • Added more logic checks to the PySide start up to prevent start up errors for some users with the Asset Browser.
  • Fixed an issue where Blender would become unresponsive after loading the Asset Browser.
  • Added parts from 6.3.0 update including GAMETABLE and Quicksilver rewards.
  • Removed extraneous print statements.

First some house-keeping. I’ve tweaked both the Blender and App names on the Nexus pages to include Corvettes. I think this makes sense given the popularity of corvettes at the moment, and these tools are now predominantly being used for corvette building right now. From now on they are called the Base and Corvette Blender Extension, and the Base and Corvette Building App . However you can still say Blender or BBA in the community, I don’t really care.

Onto updates!

  • Added Xeno Arena parts - Game Table and Quicksilver rewards.,
  • Updated mirroring logic in the app based on the new Blender fixes from Kuma the Wizard.,
  • A new favourites section in the Part List. Right-Clicking on a part allows you to add and remove parts from this section.,
  • A new action to “Replace all selected parts” is added to the same right click menu.,
  • Adding a new part will now position it based off of the current selection, as long as it is in the camera view.,
  • Fixed an issue where you couldn’t move the camera if the part list was visible.,
  • Optimization and speed improvement to the Part List search filtering.,
  • General performance optimisation.,
  • File size reduction to the app in general (>50mb , >100mb zipped).,

latest demo of my mods ( world generation + qol / gameplay tweaks )

Main features:

• More diverse planet generation
• Multiple regions across planetary surfaces
• Expanded creature generation

The mod mixes original No Man’s Sky assets with newly created assets to generate more varied and surprising worlds.

it appears there is a malicious website created to try spread malware :link: (Reddit) pretending to be the goatfungus NMS Save Editor.

NMSSE only uses Github, make sure you do not get it from elsewhere!

NMS Base & Corvette Blender Extension

:construction_site: Some updates to the No Man’s Sky Blender Add-on - both big and small!

  • @Kuma The Wizard has cast his magic and spent the last couple of weeks developing a built-in Save Editor panel straight in the Blender tools itself. You can now use this to import/export directly from Blender without the need for other save editors. A big thanks for his patience as he worked through the feedback from myself and other community builders.

Please use the built-in save backup features, and let @Kuma The Wizard know if you encounter any bugs or feedback!

  • The few parts added with 6.4.0 Swarm update have been added.
  • Fixed an issue where an error popup displayed when using the Duplicate Part Button.

MBINCompiler has been updated to version 6.44.0-pre3. This is valid for both public and experimental (since there are no struct changes in experimental relative to the public build). This fixes an issue with entity files (and in fact any mxml files which contain generic lists (so things like mission tables or alien puzzle tables)).
If you are using MBINCompiler directly and have generated an MXML of an entity file, easiest way to fix the issue is to recompile with 6.44.0-pre2, then decompile with 6.44.0-pre3 to remove the values (otherwise, can also just find…replace, or I’m sure other methods involving AMUMSS or some such ¯_(ツ)_/¯)
