In celebration of the Aquarius release
Hereās something down the middle for those who wanted an Archaeology Expedition but got the Aquatic one instead.
I could not sleep so I fished some. Then the algorithms that be, taught me about this artist. She invented a tape sample violin thingy. Which I donāt know if it is featured in this song.
Unrelated, I here the coyotes howlingā¦ Wait there down. That was short.
I woke this morning thinking āhey isnāt that a popular tiktok sound.ā I went to sleep thinking it was complete alien to me.
Has been stuck in my head ever since I took this picture. I think I finally understand what this song is about
Nisemono was an EP where each track had a video that told a story.
The whole thing, videos and songs included, was about imposter syndrome and despite itās short playtime is one of my favourite records that I own.
The concept of Nisemono was an American being hired to write music for a Japanese Idol in 1980s Japan.
Today Ginger Root release their new Full Length Album, Shinbangumi, and it continues the concept of Nisemono and I canāt wait to add it to my collection (the citypop meme craze online passed me by but this one got its hooks in me)
Today my Mother would have been 70 years old. I knew my dad would be having a hard time when he got in from the pub last night so I was getting some music ready for a post pub cup of tea and a chat.
I opened the app up at 12:05am and got a notification for a new release from artists I listen to. I figured it probably came out a few days earlier and was shocked to see the date underneath it as 16th september. Releases on Spotify must roll out into territories at midnight
I donāt believe in signs but it almost felt like my Mam was saying, āHey, Donāt forget to tell your dad youāre proud of how far he has come.ā
You donāt? But then, how do you find anything?
I keep whistling until I hear another person whistle back and then I know Iām near where people are.
Iāve been following James for 2 years now. I donāt listen to his music in my spare time or find myself seeking it out, but I will listen to every song when he uploads them.
His spirit is whatās the most incredible thing to me. Heās very addicted to song writing and seems to have the right amount or lack of self awareness to let nothing stop him. I would kill for his work ethic.
He just seems to jump out of bed in the morning, rally whatever friends he can around him and a camera, and shoot silly music videos for silly songs with the only guiding star being having as much fun as possible.
The bravery in this live show is beautiful so Iām sharing it
My favourite Chapeskie song is This one
A youtuber got to spend some time with the guy and getting behind the meme to the person so Iām going to share that too
I could not help it! I am sure some of you recognise this.
Oh and another cool find!
Cover not in a great shape, but Iāll take itā¦
Not to mention plenty other finds to catch up on collecting vinyl, instead of those (nowadays worthless) CDs I got plenty.
I am addicted to music, I admit ā¦
Oh wow! I had literally just ordered two records before 65dos made those announcements so I had to be good and hold off for now, very jealous
Watership Down OST on vinyl is a very nice find, I donāt have any OST vinyl (I have some Squaresoft OST CDās my aunt ordered in the 90s). I keep putting off getting the OST for An American Tail. I wore the VHS out when I was a kid but Iām afraid to watch it now or revisit it in case it tarnishes how I remember it
Oh, but there is more to come Iām afraid, as I have been really bad! Iāll be eating dry bread the rest of this monthā¦
I stan hard for this man no matter what he does. This new record is on its way in the post to me and I canāt get enough of this track.
Bows and Arrows is also a lot of fun, some talking heads/Zappa driven tempos
Clearly havenāt been following the Mary Wallopers.
No ā ^ _ ^ Nor Fontaines DC or Kneecap but I keep hearing incredible things about all and more.
Iāll get around to it at some point
