I could not sleep so I fished some. Then the algorithms that be, taught me about this artist. She invented a tape sample violin thingy. Which I don’t know if it is featured in this song.

Nisemono was an EP where each track had a video that told a story.
The whole thing, videos and songs included, was about imposter syndrome and despite it’s short playtime is one of my favourite records that I own.
The concept of Nisemono was an American being hired to write music for a Japanese Idol in 1980s Japan.
Today Ginger Root release their new Full Length Album, Shinbangumi, and it continues the concept of Nisemono and I can’t wait to add it to my collection 
(the citypop meme craze online passed me by but this one got its hooks in me)
