Listening on my PC with 5.1 and about 29 min in my cat is looking around the room at the ceiling and walls and trying to find where that sound is coming from as it bounced off the walls. :sunglasses:

I don’t know if there any other Todd Rundgren fans here, but the lyrics to his 1979 song “Road To Utopia” reads like it was written expressly for NMS (Utopia version, of course)

:notes:
I blink my eyes and then it happens again
I lose my way but I discover a friend
It’s a typical day on the road to utopia

I walk along until my feet are sore
I rest a minute then I walk some more
There’s no time to delay on the road to utopia

And my destination is the unknown
But I’m never far away from my home

This was my first association with ‘Utopia’ from Goldfrapp’s fantastic debut album back in 2000. Quite a different, more sinister description of an Utopia or “eerie, and world-weary”, Distopia? This song being about genetic engineering compared to fascism. I would not want to draw any comparison with the game world/lore, just a wonderful song to be reminded of. In my opinion one of the ‘next’ best tracks on ‘Felt Mountain’.

Had a mini existential crisis this morning because I realized I’ve gone through all of high school and 3 semesters of college and I still get emails about responses to this thread. Please don’t stop, I like getting reminded about this time in my life.

Well anyway, my music tastes changed completely in 5 years, although Dropkick Murphys are coming to my city for a concert and I’m stoked.
