I imagine this show was before it suffered the same fate as MTV and became a channel of reality tv shows that had very little, if anything, to do with History?
Every week is shark week. Every second week is “deatils of ww2 battles but none of the actual understanding, of the how and why, of rising fascism” week. And every other day is ancient aliens.

Guess it’s time to avail of one of those NORD VPN free trials/influencer discounts.
Mostly it is The Food that Made America, or one of the other series that chronicles old wealth now long-gone.
It is still one of my go-to channels because I love history. But, yes, there is a lot of WW 1 and 2 but also Josh Gates and Danny Trejo who trek the world digging up the past or digging into unexplainable mysteries and unusual lore.
Currently watching a guy who was set to demo his living room and found a Superman comic in the wall and sold it for $175,000
Team Four Star for those unaware, are known originally for making the fantastic Dragon Ball Z Abridged series.
A beloved fan edit of every saga (except for Bu) with immense edits to the cel animation and every line of dialogue rewritten and re-recorded to hilarity, not to mention expertly voiced by the cast.
Over the years they’ve tried their hands at other abridged series like Final Fantasy VII.
After a long hiatus from such large form projects, particularly due to the constant cease and desist takedowns from Toei Animation (one of the main reasons they didn’t do the Bu Saga as well as burnout), they have returned with their next Abridged project.
I’ve never seen this show. I’ve never known what the appeal was and it never even got syndication on any TV stations in my area, but now through the lens of comedy and editing, I can finally, safely, experience the world of Sailor Moon.
If you own a Samsung smart TV, they are showing the first series of Fallout for free until Decmber 25th. I’ve been bingeing it for the last three days. Given the usual standard of game spin-offs, it’s surprisingly good.
It certainly raised the har. I do worry the second series might suffer from the usual ailments of having less time to cook than the first season would have.
But they gave me Kyle McLaughlin so I will be happy even if it loses momentum a little.
I love my Mayor, he’s my mayor for life <3
The attention to detail is amazing, I believe Bethesda just gave them full access to the raw model files and they went to town printing them out. The show runner is also a mega fan, particularly of the originals and obsidians New Vegas, he even seems to have done a better job of bridging the plots of interplays and Bethesda’s games.
So many little tiny details too I didn’t notice until a second watch, even some of the extras were mega fans and bringing their obscure knowledge to set. I believe one of the background actors was immitating the movement of an NPC from a particular area and nobody realised until it aired and was pointed out by viewers. I think that background actor even tweeted out that yes he was immitating that specific NPC and was happy it made it in.
I found it hard to tell what was CGI, and what were built props and sets. The Red Rocket gas station was astonishingly detailed - I hope they actually built it.
I felt a considerable degree of affinity with Overseer Benjamin. I think he may be a relative.
That would be cool in the backyard. However, the Fallout 4 car designs are some of the best ever conceived. That would certainly break the budget though.
It’s true, I was sat down at a very young age and told we come from Jupiter and that one day I’ll have to go back. To get more stupider. I was also told the reason the girls were going to mars was to get more bars and not as part of some breeding program but I guess it was watered down for kids.
I believe Venus is for people born with both sets, hence the name. It’s a portmanteau of ahum and ahem.
I think the person you were talking to might have been applying the temperaments of the gods they’re named after to silly humans stuck in a silly cycle.
If that book was trying to help it would have been called “Men don’t have to be from mars, sort your shit out lads. Women, you’re doing grand!”
