I’m pretty sure this thread is the reason they showed a purple grass biome for the reveal of the “increased pallete” segment of the new trailer

OMG Toddumptions! Where is this trailer.
If they give us our colors back, I will cry with delight, no joke.
Those colors were one of the reasons I loved the game more than any other game I’ve ever played.

Some things still appear a bit more “muted” to fit the Next style, but some color variety is definitely returning, along with a bunch of new assets.
Sean also just posted the announcement on twitter and the official update log is up. Goes live tomorrow!

I can’t wait til tomorrow! Woopee, I’m so excited. I like the trophy idea too. But I will be exploring my brains out looking for the new palettes, and variations.
I’m like a little ant in an antfarm, looking for that unique place to build another base on. I guess I’m obsessed with it, and especially after tomorrow’s update

Well, I’m kind of disappointed in what I’ve seen for the grasses coloration in the new update so far. I’ve been in about 100 systems of all colors so far and no purples, no blues, no bright green grasses to speak of yet. Still browns, oranges, reds and dull greens.
There are some super cool flora, and some new planet name descriptions.
My beautiful bubble base lost all the bubbles and turned into some kind of flora lol. My beautiful ring base with the skys that changed colors is now yellow. Hopefully I can find another one similar. The skys and ocean colors are changed for sure. Not everything is blue. Haven’t gone in my underwater base to see how that is yet.
Perhaps by new palette colors they meant flora, sky, water but hopefully landscape will be in another update.

After yesterday’s 15 hour journey, I finally found some colored landscapes. They seem weird like the closer you get to the colors they turn dark for some reason. Lol.
But I do look forward to finding the bright purples, blues, pinks, and greens now.
Here are a couple photos of what I found.
My rings planet did turn beautiful even though I miss the changing colors. To me this is very haunting, which I love.
Then I’ll post my new base photos, and my flora photos in the appropriate sections.
I really like the new community event, especially after the last one because on this save I’m on I hardly have any of the rewards. I need to work my tail off today, and tonight scanning flora so I can get everything.
