I am curious about the response to the upcoming moon mission, even though not Musk related. There was a lot of fake news comments. It almost feels like the fake moon landing conspiracy is making its way around again…

On Twitch, I recall a lot of “this is staged, this is AI, I don’t fall for it,” and general insults that scroll by so fast that moderators, if they exist, cannot keep up.
I can’t tell anymore if these commenters are children, disruptive trolls, or disruptive conspiracy theorists.
Children are told all the time that they are stupid for falling for genAI or for mistaking an NPC for a player, so they also use these lines to call each other stupid for fun… Just as older people say, you took the bait, hook line and sinker, still wet behind the ears, even though it’s clearly not a fishing context.
It must be frustrating for the show hosts to see these comments and not know if that’s truly the majority opinion or not.
The chat for that launch seemed to be trolls just constantly reposting the same lines over and over. I doubt anyone even tried to monitor it. I kinda wish they would just disable chat when it’s that bad.
Or, you know, bots…
Well, see, Bots are a subset of all three, because scriptkiddues, trolls, and conspirators all can run bots. 
Mostly this. And the new troll meta is to also just larp as a bot too.
People with no skin in any game and using smug pettiness as the avenue for relief to escape the fact theres nothing going on in their lives, never stopping to realise maybe theyre a large part of the reason for that.
The bots also make it seem like these people outnumber us and every now and then they drag another soul to their side, but my experience in the real world tells me most people have their head screwed on straight.
Ive friends who dont interact with kids much in their day to day and seem to think the next generation are doomed and useless. Im fortunate that I worked in outreach and education for a time and help mind kids for a family during the week/do the school pick up and I dont see this at all, theyre all very bright and inquisitive. I’m also very aware that every generation says this about the next generation, I recall hearing it a lot when growing up, Pokemon will rot our brains etc (typed this out on my phone hours ago and forgot to hit send
