Remember, a vote for Todd is a vote for your childrens future! Word on the street is that @vector_cmdr kicks small dogs when he thinks nobody is looking. My name is FuturePresidentofQuestions ToddUmptious, and I approve these messages!
Thats what we’re voting for right? To be the president? Of Questions? I didn’t read the pamphlets during sign up…
On this forum we do not assign permissions, we earn a so called ‘trust level’. For the current Project Skyscraper voting there is no restriction set: 🗳 Archie Q&A - Final Voting on Questions
Just have to be careful not to trigger our Discourse AI to silence you. Initial participation on this forum appears most crucial, but so far you’re doing fine.
Hello friends! Big lurker here, but I’ve been watching the ARG since shortly after it began. Wanted to go ahead and set up an account here once I got my window assigned (I’m 419!)
Hiiii!!! :3 Been watching the ARG for a bit since it was mentioned on reddit, gonna get a window if that’s still a thing hopefully!!! But i’ve been lurking here since ab may or june i think? But i’ve been playing no mans sky for a while! Hopefully i can contribute in some way! I don’t know anything about ARG solving stuff though
(Edit: no idea how to get the window so if someone has an answer and sees this before i figure it out, please tell me!)

Hello everyone, I guess it’s about time I made a formal introduction!
My name is MountTheRainbow! But when I was making my ETARC account I messed up the name so I’m also MounTheRainbow lol,
Oof where to start… Uh Im a disabled veteran of the US Army, and for the past decade I’ve been a married stay at home Dad with four amazing kids. I spend a lot of what free time I can manage (it’s gotten easier as they’ve gotten older) dilly dallying with a plethora of hobbies. I would consider myself a ‘Jack of All Trades’ type of person. I’ve painted (and successfully sold in a pop up type stand) rocks and other pieces of art, but mostly rocks lol. I enjoy making video game art as well. I play a bit on the Lute, and am starting to learn guitar. I built and managed for a long while a nature trail in the woods behind my home, with Life sized pokemon cutouts (safe for the environment paints, painted on plywood) along the trail for them to see. Before that it was a fairy woods with gnomes and magic adventures! Oh Im sort of writing, well started and then stopped , a story about a sentient Kudzu Monster. … What else.. I’m actively in college working through my third year at a Bachelors in Environmental Studies. The dream job would be working in Environmental P.R. I’m a bit fascinated with both the mental barriers that prevent people from taking action on environmental issues and how specific storytelling methods and communication strategies can bridge that gap. But I digress, I stumbled into ETARC when 710 mentioned a possible ARG (a project skyscraper) in GHub. I’d seen a lot of talk about ARGs in the past and always wanted to participate, and I couldn’t pass it up. I didn’t expect to find a second home along the way!!
Anyway, I’m sure I’ll see you (the reader, yes, you) around and about here in ETARC or elsewhere amongst the cosmos, untill then go build yourself a G.R.3.G. (I could link to it, but it’ll be more fun searching for it ) and enjoy the journey.
Been interloping for a couple months, better follow @MounTheRainbow’s example and finally post here!
Been playing NMS since Origins (that eldest iteration built Castle Frankenstone in MAINFAM) so I missed WT but what a joy it is to be here for PSS with all of you.
I’m something of a literary jack-of-all-trades with various stints as a librarian, event organizer, reviewer, editor, author, and full-spectrum bookseller (new, used, rare, etc.). Before newspapers disappeared, I wrote occasional reviews for the Mobile [AL] Register, one of which got the attention of local legend Harper Lee; I’m currently working on a project about her legacy in the state. A longer-term writing project involves deciphering the shaggy-dog dianetics journals of a certain John W. Campbell [long story, but I grew up with his step-grandson]. Currently I’m selling just a few select rare books online, on commission, kind of semi-retired – must admit, a lot of my focus these days is on my 93yo mother who I recently moved up from the Gulf Coast (she broke a hip back in Sept, has been doing well all things considered, but obviously that was a life changer). Other than all that excitement I live a quiet life in a hilly neighborhood with my wife and two cats.
Again, super grateful to have found you guys, and (mirroring what someone else said recently) with everything else going on in the world, both generally and personally, this has been an unlooked-for but absolutely refreshing oasis this summer. Thank you all.
Ahhhhh… The smell of old books. There’s nothing quite like it. I have a dream of one day owning a small library filled with them. I would love to turn it into a niche book nook with a coffee shop and lots of plants with little cozy corners for reading and tucked away desks for research.
Yes. I just realized what’s missing in my 2,016-book Kindle library! Amazon needs to add old leather and paper smell, available by a button press or icon (with scent refills available for $ purchase, naturally ). I carry my library to dinner out, visits with relatives, health appointments, and more. If I have idle time, out comes the Kindle.
Currently they sit in a box, in as dry and cool of a place as I can. But I want to read them so bad. But until I can preserve the covers I don’t want to mess with them lol.
