Hello! I have been an NMS player since Day 1, and a few years back I started lurking this forum out of curiosity about datamining and upcoming code changes.
The other day I slapped the ETARC decal on the front of my Corvette and decided… I should probably join the forum if I’ve going to represent. So here I am.
This has been a lovely place to browse over the years, I definitely appreciate old-school forums.

Hey fellow Travellers! I just joined last week and wanted to make myself known. I started playing NMS back when it came to Xbox. I’ve been on an obsessive dive through all the lore lately, and learned the history of this place through the Game Detectives site’s Waking Titan info. Anyway, I don’t really have much to say but I’m looking forward to digging through the posts here to see what people are thinking about the more recent developments and things coming up in the future. Hope everyone’s doing well!

There’s no new lore thread for the Voyagers update but the latest archived version can be found here
I was making a bunch of Google docs that contain all the expedition lore as well as main story lore, I took a break from them this year but they’re all more or less content complete and retain the colour coding used within the game (by far the most time consuming part of putting these docs together).
You’ll find those linked within the thread as well as links to the older versions of lore discussion threads. These can be good for historical comparison as the game has added and changed how some things are put across for the players understanding or in some instances, meant something different due to the context of older updates.
E.g a lot of the Traveller race interactions were teasing the full multiplayer update a year before it landed. That doesn’t seem so obvious now when viewed with modern NMS context.
It’s those expedition docs that actually convinced me to sign up here, glad for a chance to say thanks directly! I really appreciate the effort you must have gone through to preserve all that in such a concise way. I look forward to making my way through everything else you folks have here. Making a few pals along the way would also be pretty nice lol
