Getting into a ship is scary now

Ever since entering and exiting ships was changed to a local teleport I have had an uneasy feeling

Since we’re all simulations, the teleporter paradox isn’t quite as scary…

If you started a new Beyond save, you may have noticed the computer telling you you were iteration number --and a long string of (16? --I didn’t count) numbers.

I figure that every time you take a portal or jump in and out of your ship, that number increases by one. Such is the life of an anomaly.

I’m not sure if it’s the same number as all versions since launch but I believe it’s always had the letter g at the end of it. Will have to double check. There’s some interesting theories and speculation around specific iteration numbers, especially from the boundary break lore about telamon. The intro text also mentions the previous iteration number and it’s letter is T which has led some people to believe you are the first iteration to be born after Telamons er, misfortune.

Remembrance Lore, possible spoiler for some

I also remember in the remembrance lore that we are assumed to be the first, made of a glitched version of the creator of the Atlas.
