Games and Game-Related old and new

Good luck to em, that rarely works out. They could try lowering the price of their handheld console after all these years, and the prices of their games.

Been a while since I checked in on the Nintendo eco system but if memory serves they hardly ever, if even, reduce or discount their games.

Nintendo are an outlier in that they don’t actively compete with Xbox, playstation or PC. They have their own niche carved out in the industry and deliver something the others don’t, so in a way they tend to act like a monopoly in and of themselves.

I think with the advent of the steam deck and the availability of emulators, they’re finally feeling the pinch. It probably wouldn’t be such a huge problem if they were a bit fairer with consumer practices.

That’s just me waffling having not properly looked into the situation, so if Ninty don’t really operate like this anymore do let me know

I really miss playing Zelda/Pokémon etc but I just can never justify the price of a Nintendo Switch.

Looking at the scope of Nintendo’s fishing expedition legal claim (which they wouldn’t stand a hope in Hell with in the UK), by making that statement in public, you’ve possibly just added your own name to the charges.

Cool, now that I have their attention…

Hey Nintendo, stop shutting down fan projects just as they near completion after years of dedication or, if you must continue this practice, give us a Chrono Trigger 2.5d remake already wouldja?

Sincerely,

Not the guy pirating your games.

Indeed. AM2R is still one of the best Metroid games, and the best Metroid game post-SNES. I will not tolerate debate on that second assertion!

Anyone else planning on playing Indiana Jones on the 9th?
I am currently replaying My Sims on Switch  What can I say? I am missing only 2 of the NMS expeditions on PS5 so nothing to do until the one that starts on the 25th

Playstation released a surprise game this year to kick start their 30th anniversary celebrations.

I just platinumed it today and it was one hell of a trip down memory lane. Fully serious when I saw it’s my Game of the Year.

As if that wasn’t enough, synchronicity came along and they released this video two hours ago, just around the time I finished the last challenge for the trophy.

Call it nostalgia bait all you want, nobody celebrates games like Playstation does <3

We can now customize our safehouses, this is free to all who own the game, not just the DLC extra stuff.
Next to HG, Hinterland has to be one of the best set of devs out there.

Cool that we can type in No Man’s Sky for every section

I only did it for multiplayer and then sports cos I didn’t play any of those but I did do some racing tracks in NMS

Also typed in Hello Games for best studio, they’ve had a crazy year.

A friend of mine has been suggesting this to me for a while now but I was on a bit of a detox of cold apocalypse type survival games after too much grim times with Frostpunk. I must check it out soon.

The players voice nominees are in, and No Mans Sky made the list. The people have spoken  now let’s bring it home (stiff competition, a lot of great games to pick)

Voting for round one ends Wednesday.

You can choose up to ten titles to vote. I’m guessing it’s an elimination round of voting? Round two starts Thursday.

They have been really at it lately with MOULA!
Still have it installed, so I may as well check it out.

Funny you should say that… I’m also waiting on both Minecraft soundtrack releases…

I must check in on that, I ordered it before these from a German website, it said they were all in stock. No dispatch email yet

Looks like Google collaborated with Hello Games and a few other studios when creating SIMA

Wait…AI has been collaborating with the Atlas and Void Mother?

Atlas is trying to avoid death, and the Void Mother needs another computer to live in. Google need to keep an eye on their server farms.

Hearing bad reports about the Indiana Jones game… :unamused:

I was afraid this might happen :face_with_peeking_eye:

What are the bad words coming in from the reports?

If someones looking for a movie IP from the 80s to play in its stead,

That “The Thing” Remaster landed on steam yesterday for 28.99 and apparently they removed the scripted infections so it’s true to the original Devs vision before they had to make sacrifices :eyes:

From the same people who handled the System Shock remaster, and my experience with that was they put a whole lot of care and love into it.
