Good luck to em, that rarely works out. They could try lowering the price of their handheld console after all these years, and the prices of their games.
Been a while since I checked in on the Nintendo eco system but if memory serves they hardly ever, if even, reduce or discount their games.
Nintendo are an outlier in that they don’t actively compete with Xbox, playstation or PC. They have their own niche carved out in the industry and deliver something the others don’t, so in a way they tend to act like a monopoly in and of themselves.
I think with the advent of the steam deck and the availability of emulators, they’re finally feeling the pinch. It probably wouldn’t be such a huge problem if they were a bit fairer with consumer practices.
That’s just me waffling having not properly looked into the situation, so if Ninty don’t really operate like this anymore do let me know
I really miss playing Zelda/Pokémon etc but I just can never justify the price of a Nintendo Switch.
