Games and Game-Related old and new

Yes. I do like that aspect. I have managed to find all animals on a number of planets without building the stuff to extend my sensor range. It requires finding that small strip of beach to whichever biome you are searching in, then running down the beach scanning the water. I have my scanner maxed and it is still painful to use, especially when scanning aggressive creatures. I love taking Sam with me and hearing him say, “Oh! That hurts!” as he gets mauled by some wild beast.

On some planets, you can swim out to find them. Unfortunately, on some planets the water is toxic, and on some the creatures you’re looking for will eat you.

Jumping from the platform into the sea on Neon is fun. All the creatures there are friendly. I suspect that’s to compensate for the humans.

p.s. On Neon, jumping from the upper platform and performing a controlled jetpack landing onto the landing pad beyond customs is the only way I’ve found to smuggle aurora out of the place.

I have taken the Neon plunge, minus the Aurora. It was the ending to one of my favorite missions. :fish: :sweat_drops:

Yeah, I thought they announced that already, there was no E3 this year, right?

The Game Awards are basically E3 now, which is kinda funny. Imagine if the Oscars showed trailers for new movies throughout (they don’t, do they? I don’t actually watch the Oscars).

No. The Oscars do not show trailers. The Game Awards is a lot like a mini Oscars though or actually more like the Tonys.

Looks like it’s only missing a multitool…
A lego NMS series on the scale of Lego minecraft would be hella cool, I have to admit.

Imagine the price!

I have some Lego Technic. It’s very handy for prototyping machinery ideas, but the price is eye-watering.
Lego and Minecraft were made for each other. The initial basic concepts were more or less the same thing - interchangable coloured blocks used to approximate larger structures.

However, when you introduce specially shaped blocks to produce finer detail and more accurate models, both the complexity and price go through the roof.

I’d imagine you could build most things with already existing parts…

Does not stop people from buying. :exploding_head:
I have stacks of Lego. I am guessing that NMS set, depending upon size, in the $30 range.

Yeah Logo prices are insane.

Trust me, a tag of £849 will stop me from buying.

Ditto. The sets I have were mostly in the $30 range and can be made 3 different ways. Those sets have now moved into the $60 range. My lego buying days have paused.

Found this online for $8.99 yesterday and it was delivered today. First time doing a Lego’s model. Thought the ship looked interesting.

I don’t recall ever seeing that set before. Good deal!
