Not sure about this… How am I going to be able to exploit the save system to get the best weapon/ship/freighter, etc…? Can we turn it off?

Here we go:
Telescope? An actual telescope in the game to see other planets?(that would be cool)
Scope? - increasing the feature scope of the game?
Refrence to draw distance? - Being able to see further distances due to optimisations maybe? (Obviously there’s going to be optimisations if its going to switch)
Odys-see? - The update name(a jab at Elite Dangerous maybe. they might with the title of the 4.0 update having the same name or similar to ED’s “Odyssey” title, which ED switched over to 4.0 recently too.)
Stargaze? Stargazing? Stargazer? (update name?)
New observatory structures or base part?
New menu UI that lets you see nearby stars

I think that might be it. 
After taking the time to have a proper read though the articles, it seems streamlining how NMS plays has been much of the focus.
It sounds like broadening the scope of play-style options from inventory to upgrade to difficulty is very much been the goal.
Now that I understand it to be more than bringing NMS to Switch, I’m very interested to see what they’ve been up to for 4.0

Some are saying that the update can be called “No Mans Sky: Discovery” or “No Mans Sky: Observations”
“Discovery” does have a nice ring to it. Like Star Trek: Discovery.

I think discovery is pretty likely, considering we’ll allegedly get a new UI section that tracks all our discoveries…
Star Trek discovery is maybe not the luckiest association, though…

Admittedly, i’ve never really watched startrek. I did see a few episodes as a kid, and I did enjoy the more recent movies but I have no clue if Discovery was any good lol. 
But Discovery is a good update name that helps convey the idea of what No Mans Sky is about.
