Time to shoot some guesses.
Something about stars. Maybe finally orbiting around a star? I doubt it though.
Or perhaps shooting stars? We have those already planetside but maybe in space we’ll see some shooting across? Seems minor, but would be interesting.
A star with a trail has me thinking it might be an update thats also themed around introducing the Starborn ship style as a new class into the game proper.
Shooting star? Could it be for the new space stations? I thought there was a satellite emoji, but I guess not?
According to Unicode.org, that character is the ‘dizzy symbol’ (0x1f4ab). I doubt that it was picked for its name but you never know with Sean.

Well the reason I was guessing some shooting stars is because NMS updates are usually small these days and so I feel like it’s going to be an update to some space elements.
Always happy to be wrong though. Hoping for ship customisation still
