Last year they introduced stuff during expeditions that later had a much bigger role and was more fleshed out in a substantial update.
I’m wondering the same thing about the Starborn Runner.
Is it a once off like the landspeeder or is it like the autophage heads and soon we’ll get the more fleshed out version with variants like the other ship classes?
Speaking of that starship, has anyone tested it over water. The description says it hovers over solid surfaces.

Sentinel ships hover. This one should as well. I find the Starborn ship a little ‘squirrely’ on the controls. Will test it.

The answer is no. Starborn Runner continues to drift forward. Must be idled too high

Someone said that the phrase “hover” only meant “like a Living Ship” … That is, no landing strut touches the ground when it lands.
But that not the normal assumption for a “hovering” starship. I’m bummed.
Are they going through a list of other game’s terminologies and visuals and allude to at least one other franchise per expedition or is my memory exaggerating? 
A star-warsy helmet here, a mass effecty frigate there, starborn from starfield, …?
You forgot settlements releasing basically synchronously with Elite: Dangerous: Odysee (where do all those double colons go, anyways?)
In any case, Starborn seems a generic enough term not to be necessarily a callback to something.
That one was a straight up mass effect crossover. It is to the 360 era of sci fi gamers what the millenium Falcon is to star wars fans, iconic <3
All the references to star wars are welcomed too of course, although I would argue that helmet is less Darth Vader and more Lord Helmut, def a space balls nod in my head 
I mean, if you use a melee-jump, you can even crash helmet first into a freighter console…
