I think I’ll linger a while in the expedition, taking my time instead of rushing for the rewards.
I didn’t begin to play until a year ago, but still, experiencing , even if at a smaller scale, the journey from release to today…
That makes me feel things.

I believe it is still about 5 jumps. The first one was not under attack. Stinking S class for over 5 mil. That’s big money when you can’t even buy the 3 wiring looms needed for the mind arc. So I jumped about 5 times and finally found a cute B class under attack
Now to grab a couple of frigates to go with the one and I can make a little money on the side
I finished phase 1 busy also in no big hurry

Also everyone double check your network settings. Mine had turned back on terrain and base edit to Anyone.
I warped back to my base and was trapped in a room with no doors because someone added them to my base and put a teleporter there.
I deleted them all then reset my settings to No one

Hmm anyone else stuck on the frigate milestone? Tells me to launch an expedition but I have no frigate fuel nor the recipe to make it 
Edit: nevermind. I am just dumb. Lol. I forgot I have to unlock the blueprint at the terminal in the frigate.
Edit again: still stuck here. Cant unlock the blueprint because there is no where to find the currency needed. But an alternative is to get frigate fuel by blowing up the smaller littler cargo ships that hang around NPC frigates. HOWEVER, something about this must have bugged the game out because now I cant select an expedition to send a fleet out. I can see the menu, but clicking on any of the expeditions doesnt do anything. Tried warping to a new system and restarting the game but, no luck. So im softlocked for now.

That’s exactly what I came here to say.
Even my starter ship is the vanilla red & black colours of the gen 1 Radiant Pillar.
I’ve barely begun & this is possibly my most favourite expedition ‘mood’

I’m already in tears from nostalgia and I haven’t even started the expedition yet! Just knowing it exists and that HG put so much love into it (and peeking at a few spoilers) is making me emotional. I can’t wait to see it for myself!

Didn’t have any trouble with this quest. Built the room (gave recipes and 2 tanks when activating), sent a frigate and it was done.
