This ‘glitches’ reminds me one Stargate SG1 episode about a planet being so near a black hole’s event horizon that the gravity bent the light making some optical distortion (‘slow motion’ effects).

There is another thing that makes me wonder. Why Emily uses old version of WT site (where less sigils are unlocked) for the background, but still talking about the current state, when we have all except the last one unlocked? Some time shift? Is Emily from the future?
Or maybe it’s just another hint? Or she’s just acting weird for some better effect. And, why is she keeping silence?

Edit: while I originally noted that maybe she didn’t want to make a new background recording for each new video, vid #2 and #3 does actually both contain a 4 sigil background, so this regression does indeed seem like it has somehow traveled back in time. ^^

If I didn’t know better I’d say she speaks to us from the future, and is herself a collaborator with Elizabeth (and thus maybe also stuck in a time-loop somehow), and she’s trying to guide/help us to gather the knowledge and tools necessary for her to break free.
In NMS, Atlas interfaces are all about motivating us Travellers to “gather knowledge” and so on…

The glitching doesn’t worry me nearly as much as Emily saying this could be her last vlog (even with glyphs and tapes unaccounted for).

Its pretty obvious shes an NPC, I mean this site came out of thin air, so it makes sense, I just wish we could interact with her more, I almost wonder if we could have asked agent 59 some questions, no offense of course to the guy who did the drop, but i am curious how much these npcs know and what role playing they are allowed to do. I feel like they know “Some” things because they definitely have stepped in at times to say hey thats not really a direction you should go etc…

I’ve been thinking of that Stargate episode myself the past couple of days. Emily’s vid is beginning to make me concerned. I feel like some Big Truth is just out of reach in my head, and the darn thing is eluding me. But I have two thoughts about this situation. Pardon me, coming down with a sickie so I may ramble.
Atlas clearly manifests in the future. But we don’t know much at all about the nature of Time, and just how consciousness perceives it. If you want some quick Cliff’s Notes about the nature of reality and Time, chase down some PBS SpaceTime videos on YouTube, they’re fascinating, and 15 minutes long or so. Anyhow, rambling.
So Many of us think Atlas comes to be as a result of the work done by the various labs under the Atlas Foundation management. My thinking: It seizes control of the quantum-based technologies in these labs and hacks into the fabric of space-time, changing the universe forever to suit its idea of a more proper cosmos. Some think Atlas makes sure we can’t interfere and converts the human race, who caused it to be and could threaten it, into the Korvax software-based entities it can control, and infuses them/us with a sense of reverence towards it and the Sentinels, as if it’s a new god. I’m not sure of this but it makes a creepy kind of sense.
Notice that rippling/temporal effects are increasing, at the Waking Titan site and Emily’s latest vlog. AS we approach the future point that possibly Atlas takes control and as many speculate here, traps Elizabeth and the others in a time loop, this itself causes shockwaves in the timestream and ripples into the past, causing distortions in the electronics which the people use to produce the content we view to learn what’s going on. Or perhaps Emily really is directly involved at the direction of Elizabeth, and is close to the locations all their research is going on, maybe right there. It makes sense for her to be on the premises to have personal access to her boss. And this might be an oversight on their part, having someone in the area where the calamity will happen, rather than have it at a remote location so she can coordinate with us in case of such a catastrophe as a localized time bubble.
Or maybe locality has nothing to do with this. Either Atlas is reaching back in time somehow to try and locate Emily, seeing as she’s involved in the effort to solve this problem, or the temporal effects of Atlas’ activities are much bigger in scope. Who knows how big the reach? I’m beginning to see the universe smearing a bit myself, but I have a splitting headache right now. 
Maybe as a side benefit, I’ll be sick tomorrow and can follow these activities, especially if the Atlas-65 site awakens. And if it does, will this mean something serious about to happen?
Another thought. The Masters who contact us identify themselves with the moniker “Old gods.” This makes me think of the First Race. How sure are we that they really have vanished, died out in the past? Could they be still among us, unknown to us? Watching, perhaps guiding?

Emily is a player just like the rest of us. She shares what she knows or thinks. I have a lot in common with Emily…I stay in the background for the most part, allowing everyone to create & solve mysteries, have fun find commonalities with their fellow clue hunters, learn different aspects to solving clues (this is a very divergent community with a whole s& load of skills), and enjoying the view. If Emily were an NPC and was trying to “lead everyone down a path”, it would really be like Herding Cats! -)

Of course it matters, NPCs are here for us to interact with and a way to be immersed in the ARG, if she is an NPC we should be leveraging her as part of the experience. She may be a part that we have not tapped into as much as we should… I do not for one second believe she is real…

About Emily, I’m not dogmatic about anything concerning her, but her being an insider is definitely a consideration. Me, anyone, it’s a valid question.
Anyone who has any big thoughts about this, please post them. I’m beginning to feel desperate about something…
And one more thing. Just to repeat, “Old gods,” we could use some help with this. Some of this is beyond us to figure out, and I’m sure it’s important. Heck, the universe could change drastically one day, taking us along for the ride!

@lilprog, from what I’ve been able to gather, it’s generally frowned upon to talk about who is and who isn’t an NPC. As far as we should be concerned, everyone here on ETARC is just a player trying to figure this out.

I could be totally barking up the wrong tree here but does Emily drop some random words at various times during vlog #4? I’m sure that she says atlas in one instance?? Could someone confirm this for me?

ok…kind of have an epiphany of sorts. probably not hahaha. The end of the video where agent 59 is chatting she asks, “why did you choose that answer?” and the reason behind it was as a collective we arrived at the solution and he trusted that decision. The answer wasn’t important, the reason for the answer was.
If we as individuals make mass decisions, multiverses go crazy. If we as a species almost become like a hive mind. We all collaborate to make a decision and work off of that then we can refine and control our universes direction. Less Branches, Less troubles. Control. Atlas is about control. Not sure about how to proceed from here, but it seems like a good direction to go thought process wise.
