I’ve been exploring the purple star systems in the border rim regions that surround the Starchain.

Thought I’d start sharing some nice planets as I find them. I keep meaning to and then forgetting so let’s get the ball rolling with the first one.

This planet had lovely hills that perfectly show off the nice new curves and slopes of the new terrain gen as well as the new lighting system to fill out those slopes with lovely light and shadow.

Didn’t experience a storm in the three cycles I spent roaming, and the sentinels are polite and courteous.

I know a paradise planet without murder sentinels is very rare in blue star systems, maybe the rarest. Not sure how rare they are in purple systems so thought was worth sharing

Bountiful Giant

Found this beautiful Bountiful Giant full of flat lands that stretch out to the horizon, golden coasts, serene rain storms and many a fungi.

Left undiscovered/unnamed if it’s of any interest to anyone, has five moons.

This is portal address for the giant, the system itself is situated in the middle section of the star chain off in the outer clusters that surround it

Found a Titan planet in ECSD space that was an ice planet with ruins. No water, just a big ol’ snow ball with moons.

The Model Chain

I’m sure this was probably discovered back when the chain was being explored as it’s not far off and within general view of the chain.

If you go to the centre of the chain, and turn the camera until the centre of the galaxy exits the left of the screen, and move forward, you will find this micro star chain that somewhat resembles our much larger chain.

The ETARC Starchain is in distance circled green but just out of render view, the discoveries in the distance are part of the large star cluster found at the bottom of the star chain

I’ve taken to calling it the model chain and have been checking purple systems around it for my new home (looking for a friendly lush titan for a new settlement to oversee).

Just found my first true candidate (previous discoveries in the area have been abandoned/undiscovered lush titan systems) and it just needs to pass the sentinel test next. But first, breakfast
