Datamining(Maximum Spoilers)

I get that. But in a promotional video, it seems a little odd to showcase it like that. Twice. And Its the same monolith type too. I doubt it was an error to let it slip again. Im sure the video editor saw it dozens of times before finalizing the edits and distributing it to various parties that will be promoting it.

So here are the next few tiers of Quick Silver, as you can see they move some around a bit…

The lack of descriptions on some is also interesting…SEAN has gotten to hidding some content until it drops lol…he did that with expeditions, most dialog wasn’t added until today…clever bugger lol

Base Nexus sounds very interesting…

I’m trying to think of what the pipes might be. BUB Pipe??? Bubble?
4 of them though straight, left, T and X…

t and x are the really interesting ones, since its seems to be a proper pipe system more than the ones we have for moving gas and materials now…and the sections aren’t editable.

I dunno but I love buiding items so I’m very curious.

I am totally earning the Swamp Dweller title.

I would expect “Base Nexus” to refer to base decorations from the nexus, similar to how we have base decorations from derelict freighters.

I was imagining the same thing. There are quite a few nexus decorations that look pretty cool. Some with nice neon lighting.

I wonder of the Normandy frigate was “the” update or if it was just an expedition reward on the side and another update rolls out later. The dramatic way it flew close to the planet was awesome and all but an entire update for a single frigate with static values seems quite small compared to their usual updates.

Well, SM said there was a “surprise” at the end of BeachHead so I would think it was just a bonus item. Personally, I enjoyed it and like the idea of exclusive items gained only thru a limited time event. I am still betting on the next real update to be 16/16/16/16,

Well the Normandy is a nice model - but it’s not 3.7 Gigabytes worth of nice model. The update must have contained an awful lot of other stuff.

The update had most readable strings etc for the final couple mission of the expedition, Sean clearly left out the data so people couldn’t mod or inspect the data to work around the missing bits. First time I ever seen them do that…

Unless I overlooked something the next Tier (48) will need it’s data before unlocking in the nexus and since it was inserted before stuff that was already ready (fireplace, lava rcoks and titles etc), its clearly getting another update soon.

Probably being a bit more security conscious given the Normandy reward is a joint venture & HG likely wanted to present it so as to advertise the ‘new’ Mass Effect release.

Given the rather short span of this Expedition, I think you are correct in that there is probably another update coming shortly or going to accompany the next Expedition.

It depends on how the packaging works, really. Oftentimes you can’t just add another model, you have to replace the whole package it is a part of.

Consider: Back in the day, with the Orange Box, Valve put the whole of Half-Life 2, including both sequels Episode One and Episode Two, and the whole of Portal, and the whole of Team Fortress 2, onto a standard, single layer, DVD. The whole DVD didn’t exceed 4.75 Gb

Coming in at 3.7 Gb, the last update was a hell of a “package”.

No indications I guess that we will get the newly translated alphabet as stickers?

nah.

most of the stuff in the files, not yet in the game are fairly known now. There are certainly objects like the Wind Turbine that have animation/geometry/materials files etc. If they were never going to do anything with them, I doubt they would leave them in the PAK files…but one never knows .

Clearly this expedition was short and limited to only 2 weeks, because something else is coming. The Graphic update is coming this month, but I expect a small update with hopefully bigger one in August.

It seems to me like I was right about what would happen after NMS launched on ps5 and xboxs/x. They seem to be spending much of their resources on trying to adjust to the new consoles(and take advantage of newer gpu’s out there) thus putting out somewhat smaller updates.

I think it is really good they keep improving the engine. And console sales will help them a lot. It sucks we aren’t getting a lot of new features lately, but improving the engine can only help prolong the game. And show their commitment to it.

After all 5 years of free content is a lot more than most ever expected.

Many of us gave up trying to understand the economics of that years ago. Now I just smile, and accept the gift.
