Just added some of the new ruins pieces to my main base and found I could not delete them. Then I realized I cannot delete anything.
I warped here from the Anomaly so I hope it is the issue and will straighten out when I reload.
Will try it in the morning

This is a similar problem to the exocraft summoning issue. In fact it’s part of the same bug. You can only place items that will let you use free place and they’ll be phased into things they normally adhere to
This was fixed for me by closing down and restarting the game, hope this works for you too.

I restarted and was able to delete the parts.
Now my daughter finds she cannot place any furniture in her base on the floor. It will only place under the floor…

Yeah it doesn’t place it on normal surfaces. Try to delete or remove and it says no parts to remove.
To place you have to place freely

My permadeath save is back to refusing to allow parts to delete or to place without problems.
I gave up and just full deleted my first (messy) base & have started the delicate process of setting up a basic exocraft base in Euclid (Alpha Quadrant) just to have what’s needed so I can summon machines as needed.
(Hopefully my little buddies all relocated to my Command Ship).
Also have issues on my Command Ship, where deleted rooms leave part of a door behind.
Have followed my destiny to Eissentam where I have a simple teleporter base on a floating island.
Added a groovy stone dome but other than that, I’ll keep it simple.
Looks like bases will all be very simple affairs until this issue is sorted.

I have had the partial door issue on freighters before. I fixed it by deleting the door first. I was able to replace the room connected to the partial doors, delete the door then the room to fix it.

This trick generally works except for one little fiddly guy on my PC main that is just a permanent ghost feature now.
Can confirm the issue with Exocraft summoning/base part placement/deletion is still present and crops up the odd time, good thing they got those load times reduced so much so the reset fix doesn’t sting so much these days.
That’s one thing I’ve noticed with this update, between the quicker load times and the ability to auto sort all inventory, I’m getting a lot more done

I like the auto sort storage box inventory too. Only works on the Command Ship.
