Thank goodness. Finally have an autophage settlement that is working. I ditched the last one and rounded up more motes and tried again. Took a chance on the same planet because I have a BC marking the very first dissonant camp I was sent to back when.
It gave me a different settlement this time and I am building my office.
Glad to hear you found a working settlement.
I thought I hit a bug in mine last night as a building completed, but I was getting no guidance to its location and it took me a while to actually find the building that needed to be re-opened.
So it seems sometimes the building upgrade log can lose its ability to mark the location. Thankfully, the buildings in this state also have under counstruction panneling around them so once you spot that you know youâve found the right building.
I also had a bug with the first building where the panneling didnt disappear on re-opening the building, but leaving the settlement and coming back fixed this.
Was seeking shelter from a storm while waiting for a building to complete. Looked up and realized the rust had gotten thru the roof.
Looks okay from the outside.
I will have to tell the inspectors to do a better job next time
Having similar issues with citizens in breach of SO many regulations.
Will need to have a word with the bouncer before the fire marshall gets tipped off.
Also have landlords being landlords and turning single bed units into rows of bunks for underpaid migrants during a housing crisis and sidestepping so many health regulations by overcrowding in poorly ventilated box rooms in the basements of old georgian buildings.
Itâs just like real life
I just wish the interior upgradedâŠanother reason to build inside my settlements.
Alas, I have reached my building limit once again
happy to say you can still build within the settlementsâŠwill watch to see if it wrecks havoc. For now, I am just placing a few pieces around my officeâŠit makes it easier to find.
I donât think Autophage settlements will ever truly be free of their rust, unless they get the royal c3p0 makeover.
I have noticed on PS5 that the texturing/LOD etc is a bit broken with the new autophage build parts as well as the new weathering effects on the wood/stone/metal parts. A part can get locked in its weathered state when cycling through the two styles, and never change back. It also looks like it isnât rendering correctly.
The Autophage build parts also donât seem to change at all when you switch to a weathered texture.
How is it looking on PC? Iâve yet to boot it up because when I go near my PC I get Tronned by Dwarf Fortress.
Same on PC. No difference between polished and weathered. The color change does seem to work but bad rendering on some of the pieces.
I also noticed that the stone walls just seem muddy to me. Like they are not rendering in.
I really like the variations though
Placing a flag with some yellow lights on my office really helps me find the thing.
will be back laterâŠI have yet another funeral to go to. Most of these have been my motherâs friendsâŠit is starting to have an affect on her.
Sorry to hear your mother is going through so much grief, my Aunt has been having a bad streak of it too and itâs definitely seemed to dampen her fire a great deal. Sheâs raised dairy cattle her whole life and is usually hardy and hearty. I canât imagine how it must be for your mother going through this while everything seems to also be on fire across the nation, sometimes literally. But it sounds like she has one hell of a supportive family and sheâll have nothing but care and understanding through these hard times <3
He forgets that the first illegal aliens arrived on our shores in 1492!
One of the things I love about NMS is the word alien has no meaning. We are ALL aliens somewhere.
So I still have flashing trees off and on. Seems to be triggered by getting into my ship or using the teleporter to my settlement.
However, I just ignore it now and go to another planet or warp away and it stops
