Think that’s it updated now.
Fantastic tour! I left a comm at the Portal.
I felt like I had entered a courtroom and was on trial
A leap of faith
I came prepared
Almost did not accept my ID
I kept feeling like I was on a movie set.
Amazing!
Thanks for visiting! Still making small changes on the ship. Noticed a few little mistakes I had to fix too.
Nice fire huts. The nights must get a bit cool.
I am working on a base on one of the planets along the Expedition 4 route. Maybe @dersvr would know the answer to this. I know it is possible to make moving parts. Wondering if it would be possible to make this dino head rotate? Have never worked with moving parts so I don’t know. Anyway, working on a small diner. Hopefully it will be open soon…
Nice diner. I haven’t tried balancing anything on the new rotating globe or anything but as far as I know you can’t get static parts to do that, they should remain static. If you could though I’d have whole spinning orbital bases balanced ![]()
I got sidetracked from the diner with the ability to shrink the storage containers (scale anything glitch). I have been tired of the hulking size of these things for a long time. Thanks @dersvr for the idea.
I decided to make a banking area with some tech for online use both modern
and old school
Finally worked on the diner.
The Kitchen
Seating
and that place around the corner where the waiters go when they take your credit card and disappear…
Still cannot place things on these wooden shelves.
What!
I never thought of that.
Now I know my next base upgrade ![]()
Ahhh. Thanks for that.
I haven’t played with any glitch-build techniques since the days of the ramp/door/tilt glitch.
It’s been a very long time. Might have to play around with the new glitchy stuff now.
Did you try to use the NMS save editor ? You can now change base itself:
The “move base computer” should solve the problem , I hope.
I don’t like using the Save Editor to “cheat,” but I may download and use if to get around such bugs. Very annoying.
In fact I used it when it was impossible ingame to move technologies (remember how technologies were placed ) , years ago then. But if the tool can fix a broken thing in NMS that’s ok.
Unfortunately I have long ago deleted the save game that created the base. The base still exists, floating in space. I can approach it for a few seconds before my game crashes - I can see it. The game still recognises it as mine, but I have no access to it.
Have you reported it to HG? I wonder if they could remove it?
Honestly, It’s not that important. If I was that bothered, I wouldn’t have deleted the save.
For me, the whole idea of an ETARC community system belongs to another era. There was a time when meeting or interacting with other players was very difficult. A large part of the attraction lay in overcoming the limitations of the game.
Now we can travel anywhere, and meet anybody we want, instantly and effortlessly. The whole idea seems a bit redundant.
If a player group could save certain items that would be unique to that group… I can see a very nice CSD community aspect to that! In that case, a “Home” system would make sense.
In some ways the ‘generic’ multiplayer kind of killed the hub ideas.
No real challenge to find each other anymore.
I haven’t used the Pilgrim App in ages yet it was a vital tool once upon a time if you wanted to navigate across the galaxy.
