Atlas Pass designation has been changed

Could the designations have any correlation to the type of device/browser we use to access the surveys or sites? (Just spitballing factors they could have used to split us up in non-random groups). I used an Android to take the surveys, windows machine for wakingtitan.com, etc., got 16-A.

makes note: sith921 = psychopath

btw
Our profiles here on etarc show participation stats, aaand just maybe they contribute to a HG-16 class. Toddumptious says that class seems more common on here than elsewhere.

I cannot see the logic in assigning classes based on browser preference, etc. That raises a whole Mac vs PC war which would be suicide!

I think we’re reaching for an answer where it may not matter. The email surveys reminded me of several psychological tests I’ve taken over the years…(While I’ve never been accused of being sane, I’m not particularly crazy, but they did used to be popular with employers way back, and this struck me very similar.) Anyway, any question there could be relevant to a category such as; do you have vivid dreams? could you create a more vivid reality? Why would they be less important than the red button? Odds are, like a psychological test, it’s a weighting of many answers. They may have added in more factors, like when you signed up, if you sent photos. which forums you are on, if you did other things, etc. Weighting multiple factors to determine categories makes a lot more sense and it would explain some outliers, but even if we know the “how” does it matter?

I was thinking more so that they’d be able to give us an array of tasks everyone could easily participate in. For instance I know I can’t access wakingtitan.com on mobile but some associated sites have been mobile-friendly. If they doled out tasks based on our access capabilities it could increase participation. Not saying I think that’s what’s going on, just spitballing possibilities.

lots of spittle flying around lately

We’ll probably start getting emails sent to class divisions, and will need to rely on these forums to piece stuff together.

At which point someone needs to start a fresh thread cause this place is like navigating a spider’s web :weary:

I don’t see how it would matter which platform or medium we used to get information on WT…or rather, how they would ever be able to connect my ETARC account with my reddit account with my discord account with my personal citizen scientist number. We would each need to provide them with that information in an easy to consume way (like on a survey) for them to reliably use that information.

OK, some results from independent surveys indicate peeps that:
subscribed during Phase 1 are more likely assigned -
16-A
PT-16
HG-16
PB-16
subscribed midway, are more likely assigned -
G-19
L-15
subscribed during Phase 2 are more likely assigned -
WT-01
AWK

Thoughts?

So being part of the herd is not that much of a bad thing…

Makes you wonder about their intentions… and their capabilities.
