I love some of these descriptions -
Oooo. Assemble an ancient time device by finding all the parts. A fantasy?
@sheralmyst Iâd say it takes big kahones for Sean to post that.
Thereâs a nice one to be added to the sheet
I have updated the spreadsheet!
Note:
A reminder that I only require to have the market value, not the value an item is sold for. In case only the âsellâ value is shown in the image provided, I calculate the market value based on the sell price and market percentage shown. I then add a question mark after the value in the sheet. When sorting the sheet on the value column, these will show first or last, depending on sort order.
Nice digs everyone, keep it up!
So I found this in the chest in a Ruin dig - hybrid archeology
[Edit] And at a random trade station turned a profit
A post was split to a new topic: Trade Terminal Financial News
Glad you started a new âBeyondâ thread on these relics and treasures because my trowel and I over Christmas have been digging for what seems like ages in the back of beyond, across this very large universe lol. Just a suggestion, it would be nice if both threads had a similar title for consistency and returning later to look things up and compare.
Thanks for keeping on top of the Google list too. I cross-checked these three posts but have not entered the data, though I spotted some of the descriptions are different along with new values.
There are some fun descriptions and names in all of these recent posts. The writer(s?) has a fun imagination.
And lastly the dusty olâ lost âRaiderâ relics I nearly died (or at least my crew did!) trying to retrieve for you all Well I didnât really, just mostly bitten and chased across the stars by gnashing teeth and wriggly things.
I think my favourite discoveries just for the naming have been Box of Astonishing Herbs, Trunk of Stolen Potions, Multicoloured Moonstones, Ornate Butcherâs Dauber, Ossified Arachnid Foot, Starry Trophies and Trunk of Wriggly Remains.
Particularly at Christmas was the Assortment of Desirable Baubles.
The description of the âTrunk of Wriggly Remainsâ makes you wonder what the future has in store for No Manâs Sky. All wonder of things. Maybe someday we will be able to actually pick these things up and put them out on display.
For now though I do love the colourful and inventive stories these could tell. And maybe we could take part in some of the freighter missions to find them someday with our friends.
I, too, find some of the names and descriptions both hilarious and fascinating.
Unfortunately I suspect weâll never see these items, as the names and descriptions appear to be procedurally generated - pseudo-randomly constructed from lists of compatible words and sentence fragments. Thatâs why there are only ever generic illustrations - because the item itself doesnât exist.
Still, itâs nice to imagine.
Donât forget the link at the top of the thread. @DevilinPixy has compiled a nice list of discoveries which includes pre-Beyond items.
