Not sure what is in the 3.6GBs but, I did not notice anything in normal play. Just the change in the previous post. It now shows that I am playing thru Steam and I have a NMS friends list which I would assume is separate from my Steam friends list?
Also no major bugs that I could see. My time is limited this morning so I only played about 30 minutes. There is one thing in the trade terminal, perhaps a renaming or someone just forgot…

That’s definitely a bug. Not quite sure how they managed a regression on displaying the names of a specific item category. Makes me suspect that they made some more significant changes to that specific category… :thinking:

When on the Menu screen (when you first start the game) you can click on Multiplayer. This takes you to a Host New Session screen where you will see your NMS Friend Code.
This screen allows you to add new NMS players to your friend list.
I am happy about this. Reminds me of Nintendos friend codes." Keep it secret, keep it safe" is the mantra going forward. Only give it to people you trust. This could solve some of the MP issues.




Note the added Speech to text and Translate text…can’t wait to see how well those work, :sweat_smile:

I‘d be interested whether they adjusted the missions for multiplayer better? Can several players start together (all new) and all get the correct progression? And what if beginners and advanced players play mixed? If somebody wants to install the 3xperimental and try the first few days in mp, ping me…

Not sure there are really advanced or beginning tiers when it comes to MP. As for 3xperimental, sometimes it is out of sync with the public branch making it impossible for the 2 to MP

Just re-worked the last weekend mission with players from Steam and Xbox or Windows. Nice.

That last one is the “generic” icon, not XBox. I assume it’s mostly for PC retail copies and probably windows store as well, since that doesn’t have its own icon.

In any case, I’m a bit sad to see my nice lonely GOG island going away… Oh well, I still have timezone sheltering me somewhat.

I was wondering Windows Store. What was the release date on that? I can’t remember, :sweat_smile:. I was thinking July…
And you can still disable MP and remain alone if you desire. That has not changed.

If that’s in response to what I said, I’m too tired too understand it, sorry. :slight_smile: I don’t want any “tiers” (I don’t know what that is).

I just wonder: there used to be a bug when mp was new that made the game look unattractive for newbies. Basically you had to tell them “Hey! come play with me, but for Sean’s sake, let’s NOT play together, so we don’t break the hyperdrive mission and have to start over, and later, we only need [insert complicated joining procedure] to find each other, and also, the base we build together will disappear when I’m offline… Doesn’t that sound fun!?”… :wink:

So to avoid that issue, I used my main account to join newbies and I do not to touch anything while they’re going through the beginning… Just wondering if that has been fixed.

EDIT: Wait, do you mean even if both testers are 3xperimental , mp might get out of sync?
