You're Invited - TravelEcho Exhibition

Oh  so good to hear it went so well! And I can’t wait for the tour @Malveka
Glad you found the base @AdaRynin !
I tried to pack a small space with fun and creative stuff. Kind of like a little artist’s studio.
I keep forgetting to look, :upside_down_face: is the base near Mal’s base, yours? Really cool layout with a nice sitting area.
Also, I don’t remember there being a puffer near the base…a bird must have dropped a seed which germinated…

Yeah, you visited it, one of your screenshots shows two chairs on the roof terrace, facing Malevka’s base, and you also posted a screenshot saying you’re getting snacks from the kitchen. :slightly_smiling_face:

Whew! Finally got a chance to put together this virtual tour video. It’s a rough draft for sure, but will give you a reasonably good feel for the exhibition. The music is an instrumental piece composed and performed by TravelEcho, recovered from a cassette tape dating back approximately 40 years. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Next I will be working to carve out some time and get in game to explore your bases!

That was a wonderful virtual exhibition, thank you for sharing. She was definitely talented in more ways than one. I can see the vision and inspirations in her paintings and poems. Im sure each one holds a precious encapsulated memory.

 so cool! What a good-sized collection you got to display. So awesome you had a rotating display for the cups.
So much color and so vibrant! Beautiful!
Thank you for sharing :smiling_face_with_tear:

Thanks for letting us see it! I spotted No Man’s Sky landscapes :slightly_smiling_face:
I liked that some paintings had little personal stories attached.

I was really pleased to find those small USB powered turntables. And now I will have a display cabinet for the cup art at home, too, once the exhibition ends.

Thank you for sharing it with me!

Thanks for taking the tour! Yes, I wanted to feature some of the NMS paintings. The game and this community meant a lot to her. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Tomorrow I go to take the exhibition down. I can’t believe it’s ending already. I’ve been so busy with family visiting - I swear there must have been a time warp in there somewhere.

Here’s a link to a video that captures some of the opening night, created by the partner of my eldest kid. The audio is TravelEcho reading a poem she wrote for me.

I feel dumb but who is TravelEcho or Jann Rowe? I hope this isn’t a stupid question, I am sorry if it is.

Many of us have been here for 8 years, since the Waking Titian ARG. Travel Echo was a dearly loved member here. She shared a lot of her creativity with us in a thread dedicated to art and creative things.

And I see today is @Malveka 's cake day! This is the month that many of us joined the forum.
What a beautiful tribute you were able to have.
So glad you were supported by many family and friends.

Hmmmm okay. I am a newer member to say the least. Could you share a history of this forum cause I am very curios. Also I would like to learn a bit about her/what she did. Any places I could go?

This is the creative thread where Travel Echo shared much of her work
As for the history of this forum, feel free to browse the archive files.
The history of this forum begins with ETARC during the Waking Titan ARG which was used by Hello Games as a way to reintroduce No Man’s Sky. There is a LOT of archived info. With each major update to the game, we archive old threads and begin again.
In between major updates, we chat and get to know each other better, sharing our personal interests.

Okay thank you so much, during my free time this week I’ll be diving through all of this. Sad to hear we lost someone important. Unrelated but who runs this forum/how does it get paid for?

Oh okay. Thanks! I didn’t realize it was them since the name. Thanks for the help.
