Cool. Must just be the planet’s color palette, then. I have not started the weekend mission yet. (Delayed by grocery no-touch pickup – our new "normal"since we have multiple high-risk factors.)

Any idea if the “Weekend” event is still playable today (Holiday)?
But if Steam keeps showing me “Connection failure” the question is moot. Grrr.

Have you tried Steam Beta? The discussion threads are usually helpful. I was having a lot of Steam issues. Between Beta and moving to Win10, the issues seem to have resolved…for now.

Interesting idea how to embed a poll. 
They could have a designated Nexus NPC with a dialog chain that tracks the players’ mood and interests over time…

Hmmm, so I went to the nexus today and there was a weekend event. I couldn’t read it because the overlay was inside the big cube and too far away to read. I took it anyway.
It took me to a planet where the rift wotsit was underwater. Didn’t we do one of these recently? It really did feel like deju vu. I had to collect 12 living pearls. Once done, I returned to the nexus and NMS crashed. I have a feeling it’s one that’s be done already, as my Nautilus was there nearby.
Anyone else getting a weekend event? At the event, no-one was there, but the nexus had a few people in it (xbox one and steam, no playstation).

I just re-worked the last weekend mission with Steam and maybe Windows? players present. It worked and went smoothly. I am in 3xperimental.
