Week of June 1st - Loop16 Seq25 + Satcom Calibration COMPLETE

Just listened to what appears to be the 9th file audio
gb1402pqj93eg9f23k4o2f1emt1vtk.mp4

Just had an idea.
So this audiofiles when opened via browser lead to a link, of course.
So I stared removing parts of the link until I was left with this.
Somebody knows what this is?

Edit: Yeah of course is a cloud.
But could be something more behind this?
Perhaps some clue.

2nd Edit: It ain’t free

Well, if Alice & Smith are going to make files available to us, they need to have them hosted somewhere.

Over the course of the ARG, they’ve used a variety of hosting services. I suspect the Amazon site is just another one.

But who knows?

Gave it a shot
Searched for
W/ARE
Atlas
Myriad
Waking Titan (no results)
Alice & Smith (this last one gives 10 results, most of them are strings of code)
I’ll link it right now

(One post away from 666 post do not disappoint me)

This afternoon I will be on the road. I’m booked into a hotel in Manchester for the night. This evening, I’m going to see some old men play rock and roll - The Rolling Stones, live at Old Trafford.

So I won’t be back on line until some time tomorrow.

Keep the satellite warm for me.

Don’t worry @Polyphemus, we are going to paint it black!

It’s the amazon S3 service (Simple Storage Service). I’m working with it every day. It’s basically dropbox with an API instead of a UI. It’s a natural service to use for something like this, and they’ve been using it all through the ARG, just as most of their websites are probably hosted on Amazon EC2 servers (or possibly Amazon lightsail). It’s just tools that are good, cheap and a lot of developers know how to use.

This is both good and bad news.

Over the course of the day, Australian eastern standard time, 06.35 file 22. 08.16 file 23 just as it came into range then it changed to file 24 at 08.17. Then tonight at 20.35 file 10.
Still got no idea what to look for.

So the files look like they change at 16 past the hour.

As many of us after all, I don’t know where to look or what to look for either.
For the time being, I suggest to keep listening to the audio files, and wait.

Dang, so we didn’t get any new files; there goes my theory. I guess we may have to wait until June 6th or this weekend to get another clue.

File 12 https://s3.amazonaws.com/ware-virtual-dashboard/videos/cal/6ra5mfxok06yguf27fhtnp4aec2p97.mp4 should be heard from the satellite now if I’m correct.
Lol. Anyone in Antarctica??

Just a random thought. Excluding file 1 which is a null signal. We have 26 files to listen to. Could each file represent a letter of the alphabet? If the files are currently in order, which would be letter A? Maybe on the 6th if the files start coming irregular to how they are now it may spell out the password.???

This is not a bad idea
@Kurv I think you might be right
Tomorrow we’ll know for sure.

Sonification of data in space…

Can sonification music be reversed giving the raw data

Random thought I had:
What if the blips in the spectrogram aren’t a countdown, but more like a marker? If you overlay all the sound files aligning their blips, is there anything interesting in the result?

I was wondering this too, what if its meant to be used similar to marker and slice meta data when exporting song projects and embedding the data into the audio so its carried over when sharing raw stems but no project files?

I think this may have already been tried earlier on when we only had a handful of audio files but can’t be sure.
