Not sure where to put this

There seems to be a bit of confusion in that post. First off, the old versions have always been there if you bought the game on GoG. I’m not sure if it’s a standard feature of GOG.

The versions mentioned here though were not uploaded to GOG. Rather, what they uploaded was the GOG packages. Which is a natural fit, because GOG packages are by design completely DRM-free and come with a self-running installer. You can, at pretty much any time, get any version of any GoG game you own in a self-contained package that you can just put on a stick and install anywhere. That’s the beauty of GOG.

The remarkable thing for me in this instance is that HG seems to have taken these older installer packages (which they already had anyways) and uploaded them to the internet archive, so you do in fact not need to own the game on GOG to download them. That’s a pretty neat move, I have to say.

Not an official upload from what I can see. That would have been announced and likely not available as such, let alone on that site.

Whatever was in Steam Experimental branch has been released to Public. I am not sure we’ll see update notes on this one. I’d assume we can consider it to still be 4.14

Some time after the new public release, we got a new Steam Experimental !
