Is this using mods? I didn’t think that type of creature could be made a companion at all
I really do not know how it is done but people have had birds as pets for a while now.
Does require some tools, can be done save editing and the eggs can be shared. Not something you can normally tame yourself.
I’m surprised I never realised this was a possibility sooner. Formation Flying and Air Shows in No Mans Sky <3 So much better than the boring standard one they put on at every planetside trade station. Circles are great n’ all but there are so many other shapes you guys…

Posting this just to highlight my issue with streamers in the community… '
Firstly the titlecard clickbait thing, I get it, you gotta play the game but even then you don’t have to be soulless about it when interacting with the outrage algorithm.
Secondly, the intro, they theorise whether this expedition will bring the game to new heights he didnt think possible or will it do the opposite.
This right here is my issue with online and gaming discourse '^_ ^ You’ve used hyperbole and set yourself up for failure by only allowing two extremes to exist… For an expedition…
Thirdly, I didn’t make it any further. They may even make some fair points later on once they’ve gotten past the intro but I couldn’t proceed.
I ended up watching their LNF challenge videos too and I’m starting to think maybe I just don’t like the guy or his attitude '^_ ^
Im just hungry and needed to vent 
The community has great creators that put a lot of thought and care in to what they do <3
And this guy does not seem to understand why each exp starts with you and a broken ship. I wonder how many people pay no attention to the lore and the fact that there is an actual story happening here.
Yep. Sad. I saw one Redditor complaining about the expedition because they didn’t have access to everything in their normal save, including all collected ships.

I honestly thought this guy was just being a typical clickbait youtuber, or misinterpreting stuff in most of his videos. His deep dives into “Leaks” in the game’s files lack basic insight into how the game functions and how long and unused most of the stuff he goes over is. I’d be fine with him just not knowing any better, but he’s been at it for a while even after being called out by people who’ve been modding the game for ages, and hasn’t bothered to ask or even check the modding resources available.
What finally tipped me off that he’s just being malicious about these videos is when he used WinderTP’s Eucl-ea mod (clearly aimed at enhancing base building) and just straight up lied about using a mod that “adds unfinished / Datamined content to the game” to show upcoming features. I’m glad the NMS Content Creation community is relatively small, controlling misinformation like this on a large scale would be pretty damaging to the already hype focused creator base’s image and set expectations for HG too high again.
(TLDR: Rant about a guy who’s videos are a real PITA from the perspective of datamining)
I’d like to add that Cynical is the ABSOLUTE WORST No Mans Sky content creator. In fact, several other content creators have commented on how they dont like him either for essentially the same reasons. He has nothing new to say or add to the NMS community or to the game… its 100% “click bait” and “rage bait” tactics all to get clicks and views and can care less if he upsets anyone as long as he gets what he wants from you.
In ALL his videos, he specifically chooses his words and topics to stir up your emotions to comment and say “nuh uh! How could you say that about my favorite feature?!” and your helping him get more attention by commenting that.
Its best to avoid Cynical like the plague. Your not missing out on anything.
@ThatBomberBoi @Jupiter.blues Good to know, I even almost fell for one of their tricks. I saw they used where when they shouldve used were, not just in the thumbnail but the title too.
Not gonna lie, he plays the game well, caught me hook line and sinker with the typo. My friend even said “its probably intentional if its twice”.
I’m still not convinced he just doesnt know which “were” to use when and where. But from what you guys have said he might have a PHD in algorithm gaming and rage baiting.
I will say it does inspire me to want to create more wholesome NMS content to counteract it.
To be honest, im not the type to dislike anyone easily. I always try to give everyone the “benefit of the doubt” and try to see things from their perspective as well as looking for reasons to like someone who is generally considered unlikeable to many…
Sometimes even beyond what some might consider “up to a reasonable point”…
But Maaaaan does this guy bug me 
I really wonder what this guy is like outside of youtube. And if anyone has taken a few swings at him already.
