I landed in a system the other day that’s near where my friend has started playing the game, just making some little spots of respite along their early galactic path.
I have yet to name the system, because it has a funny procgen name I want my friend to see.
If you want to know why I'm waiting for my friend to arrive here before renaming the system...
(It’s called Niigas. As a white Irish boy who can’t say the word spelt similar to this in zero circumstances, having a system declare this as its name as I entered, broke my sides in two, it also reminded me of Prejudice song/Ginger song by Tim Minchin. Someone followed me back from the Nexus yesterday and I had to explain it’s not what it looks like XD )
Same with the planet, his handles and usernames are always raw"something" and this planets called RawEnd, it’s made for him
On pc and ps5 it had the same name proc genned, now on pc today with the update, the name has changed slightly. Ps5 without update still shows the original procgen title.
It’s a small change but I didn’t think updates could have this sort of overall effect on how the proc gen handles planet names etc.
So some of the messages in bottles I had on PS5 had some words at the end in purple. Those words have all changed now too after recieving the patch today:)
I had one that specifically said VOID in purple, went to screenshot it today and it now says “Endrigrigrar” or something like that, like it’s a planet/system name.
The impact of the original was much better, very chilling… the patch update gave it a genre change and now it’s a Comedy, where the mcguffin ends up being a fools errand, and the treasure was the friends made along the way.
