This video is not what it seems. Make it to the second half and you will see.

Well, it was good until the end, and then it was just too weird and I had to turn it off,

Yeah. Same. It was an amazing documentary up to that point. If I could figure out how to download from Youtube like I used to before installing Win10, I would download it as a keeper and remove that weirdness at the end. :joy:

I know Mac  I watched the whole thing and at the end I was laughing my butt off it was so entertaining

Even subscribed to the Channel because he hit on most of the Truth of the Development of NMS that people overlook

I still think that NMS 1.3 and 1.0 were already done before they had to scrap 1.3 till they worked the bugs out. Even after 1.3 till 1.5 I couldn’t see my friend from Europe as a Floating Orb. Can you imagine how hard it must have been to get that fixed with such a small testing team ?

In fact I still haven’t verified that the floating orb thingy (seeing people just by being in the same place and time) works if you are not in a group or friends in steam.

Personally, I would be very upset.

Weird pervy guy wanted publicity at any price.

We’ve just given it to him - and Sean went along with it.

Nice one.

Oh, good someone posted it. Love internet historian. Recommend his other videos. I been following for sometime, and thought to myself that no man sky could work for a video. To bad he didn’t get into waking Titan, maybe a sequel. He cracks me up.

I do stay away from the fan fiction reading thou. :Cringe:

I learned a lot from that ‘documentary’, it was good.

Also didnt know…planetary rotation was a thing? Who the heck complained about that??
Im hoping they turn that rotation feature back on, or is there a way to enable that somehow?

Yes, rotation was a thing but apparently, people are easily confused and couldn’t handle it. I would like to see it back again. In the meantime, we have a sun that “rises and sets” without planetary rotation. So we get the “feel” of rotation without it actually happening.
I do not know of a way to turn it on.

In the early versions of the game, it was much easier to get lost. You were much more limited regarding what you could build, and where. Teleports didn’t exist, and portals didn’t work. People had to rely on dead reckoning - and that depended on landmarks staying where you left them.

It seems that in early beta versions, players would take off into space, then planetary rotation would move their point of departure - and they couldn’t find their way back.

It wouldn’t be a problem now. We have lots of ways to mark points of interest. But back then, they didn’t.

that disappointing. knowing the day night thing is fake, it really pulls me out of the immersion for some reason.
im betting a future updates will have rotation reinstated…and biomes due to that travel around the sun as well! :sunny: :first_quarter_moon_with_face:
