Itâs been exactly a month (4 weeks) since something last happened with Waking Titan. I think I can safely say that it has stalled unexpectedly. I donât think Alice & Smith intended for there to be this long of a gap between events and it is most likely because they are waiting for a go-ahead from Hello Games who have hit a snag in production on the next update.
They wonât start phase 4 until the update is close enough to completion to be done when the phase ends.

I had a fever dream that Charlie Brooker was brought on board, delaying the update/WT by 6 months but everyone kept their cool from the resulting announcement and everything was chill and upon release, there was world peace. Until one guy chimed up that Brookers just a hack and so are all his tv shows and editorials and a lynch mob ensued, in the fervor after he was disposed of, with newfound blood-hunger in our hearts, we turned on one another. Dreams are weird.

I work at a prototyping company(company name âcanâ be mentioned, but i rather not mention it on the internet) and I have learned much about product development of new technology to hit the market and updates on just older tech. I cannot speak or elaborate on any particular product because I signed NDAs but I can share what I have learned about companies that hit a snag in production. In a business, companies try to take advantage of every opportunity they can. When they hit a delay, some will offer something extra for the delay in the product and will use the delay to build up hype intentionally. Often times, the delay is due to a catastrophic failure of something that needs to be reworked and sometimes it is an intentional delay because they simply just need more time.
With that being said, whatever the next step in the ARG is, it is something likely so vital to both the ARG and HelloGames that they couldnât just give us something to chew on for now such as maybe some piece of unheard of lore or a sneak peek photo. If the delay goes on any longer, they will likely throw something small like that to keep our interests and keep the hype at a safe level.

Somehow, I missed this post earlier. But OMG, that is so, so well written. Thank you! 
And I hope that Romania will forgive the slur against their mail delivery system in the service of a very good story. 
EDIT: in light of further clarification from @Polyphemus I now understand that the agency in the story was not Romanian, but was a cheap-ass company from another country leaching off the poor there.
The story told was made even better for me after learning that.

Itâs not about the Romanian mail service. Itâs about an international delivery company who have set up a depot in Romania. because they can get away with paying poverty wages.

Sounds like total nonsense without a linkâŚunless that person was claiming to know and have spoken with Sean IRLâŚin which case I personally know the easter bunny and it said NMSâs next platform will be the microwave.

Ha ha! I own a Switch and as much as I love it, there is no way it could run NMS. If you think falling through the terrain is an issue nowâŚha ha haâŚhaâŚhaâŚBeen trying to outrun the terrain in LA Noire. Not sure if it is possible but, I have come soooo close to success.

Man, I really hope you are rightâŚbut even without ARG any kind of official word from HG or A&S about whatâs going on would be greatly welcome. Even something like hey we needed more time for development or hey we had a disagreement that needed sorting out about the ARG and it will/not resume before the next update. Hell, Iâm absolutely down to pay for future major updates if HG decide. Just any kind of official word would be fine as long as the update is still happening in some capacity would be welcome.
