The Abyss - Version 1.7 released

There is a suit vendor?

Since next, it’s in each station on your right after exciting the ship. Right next to the drop pod where you can buy extra slots for your exosuit.

Oh…he was referring to the appearance modifier? When I read “vendor”, I thought that he was saying that a shop was added that sold suit parts.

No. He’s talking about the guy that sells suit upgrades. Not suits, just upgrades and blueprints.

Yes, sorry for any confusion.

My Gek crew used to just sound like Vy’Keen but now they actually are Vy’Keen. Have not moved my freighter. It is still in the original Gek system I found it in.

Mutiny is a new quest line.

Anyone else find it annoying to swim using 3rd person view? Don’t get me wrong, I actually prefer 1st person view, especially when building, but occasionally I like to switch. When swimming however, it has become impossible to look up.

Yes. I noticed that. 1st person is still my choice sometimes. Especially if my ship or exocraft is blocking my view.

I have been in 3rd person since they offered it and haven’t switched back once.

However, I do pilot in first person because of the control panel information.

Also, I am having sound issues today. Yesterday it was frame rate issues…Why? Any suggestions? Frame rate improved today and now the sound is cutting out. Never had this issue before.

Must`ve crawled out of The Abyss

I’m continually flicking back and forth.
3rd person for pleasing aesthetics while exploring and 1st person for fiddly stuff, fighting or confined spaces. Same with the ship.
I wish there was a single button tap for changing view.

Well that was terrifying. Late last night I was able to continue the quest line. The Humboldt Drive suddenly appeared as an option for crafting in the Nautilon inventory, so I built it. I was directed to a submerged building. When swimming out the of the building, I fell into a nightmare. All I remember from the moment was red. Pulsing red, staring through me. I was unable to move, but kept drifting closer to the red. Then I had the option to run. Which I did. I didn’t look back, I got in the sub, headed for shore, saved and quit the game. Sweet 6 lb. 8 oz. baby jesus I don’t know what the hell happened. I’m never going back to the building.

My underwater buildings are airtight. They’re waterproof. Pressure sealed.

Unfortunately, they’re not fish-proof.

Flying fish are very invasive… apparently

I got bad news for you. They are not just at the buildings…:scream:

This same issue exists in Subnautica…parts must come from the same manufacturer. :grinning:

Swim some distance away…

You can only hurt it when the eye is open. So when it is, blast it full of Boltcaster…

Smash it into green goo…

Then steal its filthy, horrible eye.

Job done. Don’t get mad - get even.

I love the fact you can escape its horrible stare with rapid button presses. I would like to see more of that kind of thing. It was an unexpected bonus. :+1:
