The Starborn Phoenix is free to claim on Steam right now, until 10:00 PT / 18:00 GMT on Dec 19th - even if you don’t own No Man’s Sky. You can then redeem your ship in-game from the Quicksilver Synthesis Companion aboard the Space Anomaly.
Hopefully it comes to other storeplaces too <3
I guess not! I expected it to be a while longer as well to be honest; at least 'til after tonight.

I used Cross Save to get the Starborn Phoenix over to my Console playthrough but there are other ways to do it too if someone has both platforms but still not on cross-save beta…

I went into my Steam account, found the Starborn Phoenix offer, and clicked on “Add to account”. Then I started up No Man’s Sky again and visited the quicksilver vendor - who had nothing new.
As far as I caan see, the new ship hasn’t been added to my game.
Did you see the new entry for “Collect Special Rewards”?
Were you in the Expedition when you went up to the QS Companion? If so, you might have to return to your main save to claim it (this can be done at any time during an expedition from the options menu or the Expedition Kiosk on the Anomaly Station)
I have finished the expedition, and returned to my main save. I shut down NMS, then restarted it - went to quicksilver vendor, and was presented with this:
As you can see, the section required to claim the ship is not there.
Maybe you need to click “install content” after clicking “add to account”? I wasn’t going to but then did for ships and giggles.
Other than that I’m at a loss but also see that you don’t have twitch rewards option as you hadn’t signed up for those, I wonder if this is causing issues with the new menu entry 
If that’s the case I’m sure it won’t be long before it’s fixed.
That’s waht I got when I hit install too for the heck of it, so this is normal 
…except yours actually did install, whereas mine didn’t. A minor technical difference, I know, but it does have some effect on the utility of the update.
Well folk me. I don’t know exactly what I did, but it seems to have worked - despite Steam telling me it didn’t.
I guess it was Gremlins. They love to show up for the festive season.
I am having the same issues. How does this work? The ship is not listed anywhere on Steam except in the announcement. I click add to Account and it opens NMS. I go to the Anomaly and, not there.
Soooo, Do Not Click Add to Account.
Click on the image with the purple Download Arrow
THEN it will take you to the actual download page
From there, click Add to Account
Click to Install Now…and nothing happens …
Failure notice Game Config Unavailable
But it also says Success at the top
Now I am launching the game…
It loaded me on the Anomaly even though it is not where I was when I saved.
The QS bot now has the Bot icon on him
@toddumptious @sheralmyst Can either of you confirm if the reward ship is available on other platforms than Steam? I am curious if you can get the ship from the shop through the account wide availability from cross-save linked accounts, or just from cross-save transfer and then only present in that specific save?
I believe @toddumptious has already confirmed cross-save availability from Steam to PS5.
Ah yes, but does that also work when not actively participating in that beta?
loading my PS5 save now…and the issue is that there is no way to enable the ship before entering the game. With Steam, you download it then get it from the QS bot. But I see no notice or any way to enable and download the ship before entering the game and there is nothing at the QS Store…
Thank you for verifying. So it will require an active cross-save, and possibly an additional transfer to make it appear in the QS shop on another platform than Steam.
