Yes, and my point is that the aliens themselves are scanners that offer a variety of possible waypoints.
Thats a bit of a stretch, I know where the local post office is, but I don’t think people consider me a scanner.

The annoying thing is, to use your example, is that if someone approaches you and says, “Hey, can you give me some directions please?” you would be like, “Ok, to where? I know, here’s some directions for the Post Office, goodbye and don’t ask me again!” to which the person asking may not have even been wanting to find a Post Office and now he has one marked on his map for all eternity!

I still stand by the fact that you need to find somebody first. Need to scan to find a person to ask them where a location is, scanning for scanners. Scanscan.
