I’m not sure if people knew this so I thought I would post it. I really like The Wraith but its number 1 problem is lack of aqua-jets. This is just the technology that allows ships to land on top of water. When I finished the Titan expedition, I was disappointed you couldn’t install aqua-jets. With all the new water worlds, aqua-jets is pretty vital technology and one of the things I like to do is land on water and just fish for a few minutes. Fishing really is an under-appreciated update. This was the reason I stopped using The Wraith. Even though I stopped using it, I still wanted to upgrade it so I sent out fleet missions with my organic frigate. This makes it possible to get a “psychonic egg” as a mission reward and psychonic eggs are how you upgrade living ships. When you open the psychonic egg you can get a random upgrade; and lo and behold I got a saline carapace. I had never seen this before so I was puzzled. I read the description it says, “The carapace will allow the vessel to float, making water landings possible”. This was exactly what I wanted lol!

I’m was happy to receive one too after cracking some eggs open after the expedition, I may have mentioned it in the thread related to the expedition.
I think if you have an active living ship, the eggs will hatch cargo deflector/economy scanner/aqua jets etc until your living ship has them all and then the eggs will just give the class upgrade modules.
I made a post about upgrading living ships about a week ago I think
The main take away is, you’ll only get c b or a class of a certain upgrade (grafted eyes I think are only ones that appear as S class) but once installed, you can then spend nanites to upgrade the tech module all the way to S class.
