My suggestion would be to simply create your role playing thread & act as the instigator ( as Oshoryu suggests) to pinpoint locations for joint exploration.
No rules or ranks just a:
Hi guys, this unexplored cluster in the alpha quadrant Euclid is interesting. Who wants to join me? Here are the coordinates xxxxxxxxx. Please share your findings here as we colonise this new region.
Have a thread dedicated to the cause and just let it grow…
I’ve shared some of my voyages here as little instalments of pics and story, recalling what I’ve found on this leg of my journey. It’s not exactly role playing but I sort of see it as “Traveller MH checking in”. Sometimes I made my own thread, other times I just posted in the screenshots thread. One example is Off Exploring in the Yibolak Cloud It was just a fun little thing to do without getting overly into the role playing side.
As Darth Trethlon says, there is no individual benifit to your idea but if you present it as simply ‘fun, joint exploration’ you might get a few takers from those of us simply interested in exploring.
