First of all, a warm welcome to our forum and ‘normally’ quiet little place to discuss anything No Man’s Sky.

We have received a lot of traffic ever since this likely fan made ARG popped up and literally appeared to ‘kick’ off on here. In hopes to prevent any issues and provide some quick info to get you started, please read up on some basics below:

  • Before you say anything, make sure to bring good manners, we all appreciate those! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
  • Have a look around and check the various topics and info discussed / made available before jumping in right away. We do realise there is a lot to digest, but it will benefit us all being somewhat caught up.
  • Please be advised to be careful not to set off automated bot actions. We will not be able to specifically list them, but do mind including urls, external resources, copy/paste (walls of) text, and possibly some more obscure triggers. Every user will grow in so called ‘trust level’ while being active on here, gaining badges along the way.
  • The few different trust levels, come with their own restrictions / permissions. As you gain trust, you are less restricted.
  • Please keep discussion in English, if need be, use external tools to translate to English first, before posting.
  • We do recommend trying to organise content in separated topics. If you feel a new topic is best created for something you’d like to discuss, please do so. Do create it as part of the appropriate (sub)category if you can. Archived (sub)categories should not be used. The (sub)categories can be adjusted as needed.
  • If you have a lot to discuss, try to limit it in a single reply. Using quotes or mentions for example, can help with that.
  • AI is a tool, not all-knowing, please use it as such. Also see this topic.
  • Those new to ARGs, please abide by the following basic rules:
    • DO NOT GO TO REAL LOCATIONS UNLESS EXPLICITLY SPECIFIED BY THE PUPPET MASTER.
    • DO NOT CALL REAL PHONE NUMBERS/CONTACT REAL EMAIL ADDRESSES UNLESS EXPLICITLY SPECIFIED BY THE PUPPET MASTER.
    • DO NOT DO ANYTHING ILLEGAL WHILE LOOKING INTO THE ARG.
    • DO NOT MESS WITH GOVERNMENT ENTITIES.

Requests For Site Changes / Hello Games Contact

TL/DR: We do not support requests to contact Hello Games, or for structural changes to this site.

At the end of Waking Titan, a group of us petitioned Hello Games to keep this site running. They said they did not have the resources to run a discussion group. Eventually they agreed to take over site ownership – on the understanding that we would run it ourselves.

Whilst Hello Games own this site, they play no part in its day-to-day functions. Such administration and moderation as the site requires is performed by the Leaders. That was the deal – Hello Games let us stay here, as long as we don’t bother them.

Of course, there are occasions when top-level administrative intervention is necessary, but we try to keep such requests to an absolute minimum.

The arrival of Project Skyscraper has led to expansion of the site’s functions, and requests for more. We have considered the situation, and concluded that if we agree with proposed changes, and if we can accommodate those changes within the site’s existing structure, we will do what we can to support them.

We will not, however, support ideas that require changes to the site structure, or intervention on the part of Hello Games. We are happy to create, move, edit, link and delete posts, threads and topics – but we will not support the installation of plugins, widgets, or extensions.
