He grew up in Waterford. I believe he had cousins in Aus that he visited during some summers but I wouldn’t say he grew up there. I always felt like that bit from the press kit was a typo and missing an apostrophe and the word “was”. (i.e, "I know my strongest memory growing up , was in the Australian outback…) Every other interview where he talks about his upbringing, he mostly talks about waterford at great length. Especially when he met up with fellow waterfordian Danny O’Dwyer for IGN interviews, before they left to start NoClip Documentaries. It might be he has a very strong memory of seeing the stars during those visits that has never left him.

I cleaned this up yesterday with help from AI, but there’s nothing interesting I can see. There were rows of pixels shifted different amounts in different color channels, red to the left and blue to the right. I have another version with the fisheye distortion removed, but it wasn’t significantly different.

I told it what to look for (the pixel shifts by color channel) then spot checked the results. I wouldn’t trust it 100%, particularly the bottom right looks a little mangled (but also correct). I was on my phone all day, though, so that was the only way I could do it.
Sean himself referenced Australia (during an interview) and the distance from neighbors. As I understand it, the family moved to England.

The structure in the cleaned up picture fits quite nicely with one of the pictures in the link you just sent, so I think you definitely hit the mark with where this is.
Likely more indication of this being a French puppetmaster than other locations previously suggested.

Interestingly, I couldnt access the reader feed page after this was discovered. Turns out they just shifted it to a new feed ID. Guess the system really is trying to keep itself secure?
Wordpress lets you comment on site posts if you view it as a blog, so I left a few of the clues we’ve found the comments in the hopes that it might trigger another “security breach”.
I’m also pretty skeptical of the “second site” that AI written page mentions as being something that’ll launch later. It looks more like a free default username based domain generated by wordpress imo.
