Ive noticed a change in streamer etiquette in modern times compared to past times ten years ago. They seem entitled to knowledge and try to force Hello Games to come forward by way of fear tactics as a method of intimidation.

Not just with this ARG, but with updates and information in general. And not just with hello games but anything entertainment media related. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Always in the guise of just looking out for the community.

This pinned post by Cobra reminded me of this behaviour. I think this is a reckless seed to plant out there, and its certainly approaching the ARG with bad faith which, considering what seems like a lot of effort gone in to an ARG just to “endanger people”, is somewhat insulting.

Frankly Id be happy if cobra went back to not covering NMS after seeing this…

At this point, people still won’t be sure its official even if Sean Murray himself showed up to their house and threw cassettes at them.

@Morse care to share with us what dangers you faced in the field last night?

As the one on this occasion to have attended the site, I didn’t feel like it was an unsafe drop. Plus I didn’t feel pressured to stay any longer than I needed to for the sake of the ARG. I stayed long enough to confirm we were done with this arc and then left.

Without peaking too far behind the curtain as it is OOC, as it were: I can confirm @the_architect also knew I wasn’t able to stay any longer than I did because of the last times the trains were. That’s not to say if I did stay longer something might have happened, but at no point did I feel pressure to stay longer than I reasonably could have.

Going into a busy pub and speaking to strangers is this neurodivergent humans worst nightmare  but I believe it would have been very obvious who I was there to meet if they were at the pub.

That said - @spyderweb333 told me in no uncertain terms to NOT recover the spider :joy:

Bob is great. Bob also can not live here.

Name one thing that doesn’t carry some kind of risk with it? Yet, we choose to do many of these things anyway. Most of us have common sense and know when something doesn’t feel right.

Bob has a cousin named George. It lives in my car. We have grown accustomed to each other. One day, George may jump on my face as I am driving down the Interstate and make me veer into a ditch. I like to think I will remain calm…it is a risk I have accepted. George has cute eyes.
…Bob was a spider right? I missed the first half of the fun… or was Bob the guy in google maps…definitely does not have a cousin living in my car…

George can work all pedals simultaneously, steer, change the radio, eat a chocolate bar, and still wave at you out of the window.

SpiderBob is not to be confused with Bob, but thank you for sharing your fantasys about George, the cousin of Bob the Intern who fed and cared for Ms Noodles. I too like to imagine that he’s waiting in a car waiting to jump on my face :joy: It feels so good to get that out in the open and know I’m not alone :stuck_out_tongue:

I actually think the guy in the google maps was my cousins husband… His name is Mark. He certainly looked like him…

Okay. Thanks for the clarification. Spider Cousin George lives in my car. :spider:

Thank you! Glad you’re enjoying the videos even after all this time. Let’s just say life is not what it was in 2017. My daily focus of energy is going to other projects and my career. I do miss this though. And I love seeing what everyone is discovering! I am a mere observer this go-around. But believe me when I say, much like NMS itself, Waking Titan was a profound moment in my life I won’t easily forget. Project Skyscraper is irresistibly curious. I will still proudly hold the ETARC banner and exclaim you all as the best community to be part of! I’m looking forward to seeing where this goes!

Yeah, that’s a shame to see. I liked Cobra a lot in the prerelease days! It’s an ARG worth enjoying the hard work put into it. I highly doubt they’d do all this rigmarole to hurt anybody, and soft-pressuring the devs into exposing their affiliation with it is a lousy way to kill the fun.
