Used to be an issue. Went away. Now it is back. This guy was able to damage me even though he should not be able to reach me.

I have also noticed that Clappies are able to reach me from a distance. Same with the clams when I was pearl diving.

On PS4 this issue never went away…
Clams & clappies have an unusually wide damage distance & unpleasant wildlife can still headbutt you no matter what you stand on.
They did fix the glitch that resulted in a predator endlessly circling instead of attacking, which I actually liked; it kept you watching but didn’t necessarily mean shooting to kill, the moment you were approached.

I toss 'em some home baked goods and go for a ride. ;`)
(except for the plants, of course, though you would think the Clappies would relish some ground meat and then leave you alone for a while)
